‘Uqba b. ‘Āmir said :While I was travelling with God's messenger between *al-Juhfa and al-Abwa’ a wind and intense darkness enveloped us, whereupon God’s messenger began to seek refuge in God, reciting “I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn” and “I seek refuge in the Lord of men.”(Qur’ān, 113 &114) He then said, “Use them, ‘Uqba, when seeking refuge in God, for no one can use anything to compare with them for the purpose.” *Al Juhfa- a village about 82 miles from Mecca. Al Abwa’- a village between twenty and thirty miles nearer Medina than al-Juhfa. Abū Dāwūd transmitted it.

عقبہ بن عامر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں جحفہ اور ابواء کے درمیان رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ سفر کر رہا تھا کہ اچانک آندھی اور شدید تاریکی ہم پر چھا گئی تو رسول اللہ ﷺ سورۃ الفلق اور سورۃ الناس کے ذریعے پناہ طلب کرنے لگے ، اور آپ ﷺ فرمانے لگے :’’ عقبہ ! ان دونوں (سورتوں) کے ذریعے پناہ طلب کرو ، کسی پناہ طلب کرنے والے نے ان دونوں جیسی پناہ نہیں پائی ۔‘‘ سندہ ضعیف ۔
Uqba bin Aamir bayan karte hain, main Jahfa aur Abwa ke darmiyan Rasool Allah ke sath safar kar raha tha ke achanak aandhi aur shadid tareeki hum par chha gayi to Rasool Allah Surah Falaq aur Surah Naas ke zariye panah talab karne lage, aur aap farmane lage: "Uqba! In donon (suraton) ke zariye panah talab karo, kisi panah talab karne wale ne in donon jaisi panah nahin paai." Sanad zaeef.
وَعَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ: بَيْنَا أَنَا سير مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَالْأَبْوَاءِ إِذْ غَشِيَتْنَا رِيحٌ وَظُلْمَةٌ شَدِيدَةٌ فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَوِّذُ ب (أعوذ بِرَبّ الفلق)\و (أعوذ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ)\وَيَقُولُ: «يَا عُقْبَةُ تَعَوَّذْ بِهِمَا فَمَا تَعَوَّذَ مُتَعَوِّذٌ بِمِثْلِهِمَا» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ\
