Hudhaifa reported God’s messenger as saying, "Recite the Qur’ān with the modulations and tones of the Arabs, but avoid the modulations of those who recite love poetry and the modulations of the people of the two Books. After my death people will come who will trill when they recite the Qur’ān as is done in singing and wailing, but it will go no farther than their throats, and they and those who are charmed by their performance will be led into error.” Baihaqī inShu'ab al-īmānand Razīn in his book transmitted it.

حذیفہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ قرآن ، عربی لہجے اور عربی آواز سے پڑھا کرو اور اہل عشق اور یہود و نصاریٰ کے لہجوں سے بچو ، اور میرے بعد ایسے لوگ آئیں گے جو نغمے اور نوحے کی طرح آواز دہرا دہرا کر قرآن پڑھیں گے ، اور وہ (قرآن کا پڑھنا) ان کے حلق سے نیچے (دل تک) نہیں اترے گا ۔ ان کے اور ان لوگوں کے دل ، جو ان کی حالت پر فریفتہ ہوں گے ، فتنہ سے دوچار ہوں گے ۔‘‘ بیہقی فی شعب الایمان ۔ اور رزین نے اسے اپنی کتاب میں روایت کیا ہے ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف منکر ۔
Hazifa بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ نے فرمایا :’’ Quran ، Arabi lehje aur Arabi aawaz se parha karo aur ahle ishq aur yahud o nasara ke lehjon se bacho ، aur mere baad aise log aayenge jo nagme aur nohe ki tarah aawaz dohrada dohrada kar Quran parhenge ، aur woh (Quran ka parhna) un ke halaq se niche (dil tak) nahin utrega . Un ke aur un logon ke dil ، jo un ki halat par farifta honge ، fitna se dochar honge .‘‘ Baihaqi fi shoab al iman . Aur razeen ne isay apni kitab me riwayat kya hai . Asnada zaeef munkar .
وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: «اقرؤوا الْقُرْآنَ بِلُحُونِ الْعَرَبِ وَأَصْوَاتِهَا وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَلُحُونَ أَهْلِ الْعِشْق وَلُحُون أهل الْكِتَابَيْنِ وسيجي بعدِي قوم يرجعُونَ بِالْقُرْآنِ ترجع الْغِنَاءِ وَالنَّوْحِ لَا يُجَاوِزُ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ مَفْتُونَهٌ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَقُلُوبُ الَّذِينَ يُعْجِبُهُمْ شَأْنُهُمْ» . رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي شعب الْإِيمَان
