‘Abdallah b. Busr said that God’s messenger visited his father and they presented him with some food and a mixture of dates, dried curd and clarified butter,* some of which he ate. Then some dates were brought to him and he ate them, throwing away the stones between two fingers, joining the forefinger and the middle finger. A version says that he began to throw away the stones on the outside of his forefinger and middle finger. He was then brought something to drink, and when he had drunk it [‘Abdallah’s] father took hold of the bridle of his beast and said, “Supplicate God for us.” So he said, “O God, bless them in that with which Thou hast provided them, forgive them and show them mercy.” *The Arabic word for this dish iswatba. The wordhaisis used for very much the same dish. See p. 439, n.1. Muslim transmitted it.

عبداللہ بن بُسر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ میرے والد کے پاس تشریف لائے تو ہم نے کھانا اور کھجور ، گھی اور پنیر سے تیار کردہ حلوہ آپ ﷺ کی خدمت میں پیش کیا تو آپ نے اس سے تناول فرمایا ، پھر کھجوریں پیش کی گئیں تو آپ انہیں کھاتے اور گٹھلیاں اپنی دو انگلیوں کے درمیان پھینکتے جاتے ، آپ انگشت شہادت اور درمیانی انگلی اکٹھی کرتے تھے ، اور ایک دوسری روایت میں ہے ، آپ گٹھلیاں اپنی دونوں انگلیوں ، انگشت شہادت اور درمیانی انگلی کی پشت پر پھینک رہے تھے ، پھر پانی پیش کیا گیا تو آپ نے اسے نوش فرمایا ، پھر میرے والد نے آپ کی سواری کی لگام پکڑتے ہوئے عرض کیا : ہمارے لئے اللہ سے دعا فرمائیں ، تو آپ ﷺ نے دعا فرمائی :’’ اے اللہ ! تو نے جو کچھ انہیں عطا کیا ہے اس میں برکت فرما ، ان کی مغفرت فرما اور ان پر رحم فرما ۔‘‘ رواہ مسلم ۔
Abdullah bin Busr bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah mere walid ke paas tashreef laaye to hum ne khana aur khajoor, ghee aur paneer se taiyar kardah halwa aap ki khidmat mein pesh kiya to aap ne is se tanaavul farmaya, phir khajoorein pesh ki gayin to aap unhen khate aur Guthliyan apni do ungliyon ke darmiyaan phenkte jate, aap ungusht shahadat aur darmiyaani ungli ekthi karte the, aur ek doosri riwayat mein hai, aap Guthliyan apni donon ungliyon, ungusht shahadat aur darmiyaani ungli ki pusht par phenk rahe the, phir paani pesh kiya gaya to aap ne usey nosh farmaya, phir mere walid ne aap ki sawari ki lagaam pakadte hue arz kiya : hamare liye Allah se dua farmaein, to aap ne dua farmaayi :’’ Aye Allah ! Tu ne jo kuchh unhen ata kiya hai is mein barkat farma, un ki magfirat farma aur un par reham farma ۔.’’ Riwayat Muslim .
وَعَن عبد الله بن يسر قَالَ: نَزَلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَبِي فَقَرَّبْنَا إِلَيْهِ طَعَامًا وَوَطْبَةً فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِتَمْرٍ فَكَانَ يَأْكُلُهُ وَيُلْقِي النَّوَى بَيْنَ أُصْبُعَيْهِ وَيَجْمَعُ السَّبَّابَةَ وَالْوُسْطَى وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: فَجَعَلَ يُلْقِي النَّوَى عَلَى ظَهْرِ أُصْبُعَيْهِ السَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِشَرَابٍ فَشَرِبَهُ فَقَالَ أَبِي وَأَخَذَ بِلِجَامِ دَابَّتِهِ: ادْعُ اللَّهَ لَنَا فَقَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيمَا رَزَقْتَهُمْ واغفرْ لَهُم وارحمهم» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
