Az-Zubair reported God’s messenger as saying, “The game and large thorn trees of Wajj are sacred being declared a sacred belonging of God." Abu Dawud transmitted it. Muhyi as-Sunna said Wajj was mentioned by some as being in the neighbourhood of at-Ta’if. (There is another sentence here which cannot easily be fitted in with the translation. It says that al-Khattabi usedannahuin place ofannaha. In the preceding phraseannahais used with reference to Wajj. The point of the extra sentence is that al-Khattabi used the masculine pronominal suffix in place of the feminine)

زبیر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ وج (طائف طائف کا کچھ علاقہ) کا شکار کرنا اور اس کے خاردار درختوں کا کاٹنا حرام ہے ، اللہ کے لیے حرام کیا گیا ہے ۔‘‘ ابوداؤد ۔ اور امام محی السنہ نے بیان کیا :’’وج‘‘ کے بارے میں علما نے فرمایا ہے کہ وہ طائف کا ایک علاقہ ہے ، اور خطابی ؒ نے : اَنَّھَا کی جگہ اَنَّہ کہا ہے ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ ابوداؤد ۔\n
Zubair bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne farmaya: ''Waj (Taif ka kuch ilaqa) ka shikar karna aur uske khar dar darakhton ka katna haram hai, Allah ke liye haram kiya gaya hai.'' Abu Dawood. Aur Imam Mohi us Sunnah ne bayan kiya: ''Waj'' ke bare mein ulma ne farmaya hai ki woh Taif ka aik ilaqa hai, aur Khatabi ne: An'ha ki jagah An'nah kaha hai. Isnaad zaeef, riwayat Abu Dawood.
وَعَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ صَيْدَ وَجٍّ وَعِضَاهَهُ حِرْمٌ مُحَرَّمٌ لِلَّهِ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَقَالَ مُحْيِي السُّنَّةِ: «وَجٌّ» ذَكَرُوا أَنَّهَا مِنْ نَاحِيَةِ الطَّائِف وَقَالَ الْخطابِيّ: «إِنَّه» بدل «إِنَّهَا»
