‘Abdallah b. ‘Umar said that God's Messenger forbade the sale of fruits till they were clearly in good condition, forbidding it both to the seller and to the buyer. A version by Muslim says he forbade selling palm-trees (i.e. their fruit) till the dates began to ripen, and ears of corn till they were white and were safe from blight. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے پھلوں کی بیع سے منع فرمایا حتی کہ ان کی صلاحیت ظاہر ہو جائے ، اور آپ ﷺ نے بائع اور مشتری دونوں کو منع فرمایا ۔ بخاری ، مسلم ۔ اور مسلم کی روایت میں ہے آپ ﷺ نے کھجوروں کی بیع سے منع فرمایا حتی کہ وہ سرخ ہو جائیں اور آپ ﷺ نے سنبل (بالیوں) کی بیع سے منع فرمایا حتی کہ وہ سفید ہو جائیں اور آفت سے بچ جائیں ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Abdullah bin Umar se riwayat hai, Rasool Allah ne phalon ki bay se mana farmaya hatta ke un ki salahiyat zahir ho jaye, aur aap ne baye aur mushtari dono ko mana farmaya. Bukhari, Muslim. Aur Muslim ki riwayat mein hai aap ne khajuron ki bay se mana farmaya hatta ke woh surkh ho jayen aur aap ne sunbul (baaliyon) ki bay se mana farmaya hatta ke woh safaid ho jayen aur aafat se bach jayen. Muttafiq alaih.
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِي. مُتَّفِقٌ عَلَيْهِ\وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ لِمُسْلِمٍ: نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى تَزْهُوَ وَعَنِ السنبل حَتَّى يبيض ويأمن العاهة\
