'Imran b. Husain said:A man came to God’s Messenger and said, “My son’s son has died, so what do I receive from his estate?” He replied, “You receive a sixth;” then when he turned away he called him and said, “You receive another sixth;” and when he turned away he called him and said, “The other sixth is an allowance [beyond what is due],” (It would seem, although it is not explicit, that the grandson had left two daughters who were therefore entitled to two-thirds of the estate. The grandfather was entitled only to a sixth, but was given another sixth, as a favour, presumably because there were no other heirs). Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is ahasan sahihtradition.

عمران بن حصین ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، ایک آدمی رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تو اس نے عرض کیا ، میرا پوتا فوت ہو گیا ہے ، اس کی میراث میں میرا کتنا حصہ ہے ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ تمہارے لیے چھٹا حصہ ہے ۔‘‘ جب وہ واپس مڑا تو آپ ﷺ نے اسے بلایا اور فرمایا :’’ تمہارے لیے ایک اور چھٹا حصہ ہے ۔‘‘ جب وہ واپس مڑا تو آپ ﷺ نے اسے بلایا اور فرمایا :’’ دوسرا چھٹا حصہ (زیادہ حق دار نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے) تمہارے لیے رزق ہے ۔‘‘ احمد ، ترمذی ، ابوداؤد ۔ اور امام ترمذی نے فرمایا : یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ احمد و الترمذی و ابوداؤد ۔
Imran bin Husain RA bayan karte hain, ek aadmi Rasul Allah SAW ki khidmat mein hazir hua to usne arz kiya, mera pota foot ho gaya hai, uski miraas mein mera kitna hissa hai? Aap SAW ne farmaya: "Tumhare liye chhata hissa hai." Jab woh wapas mura to Aap SAW ne use bulaya aur farmaya: "Tumhare liye ek aur chhata hissa hai." Jab woh wapas mura to Aap SAW ne use bulaya aur farmaya: "Doosra chhata hissa (zyada haqdaar na hone ki wajah se) tumhare liye rizq hai." Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood. Aur Imam Tirmidhi ne farmaya: Yeh hadees hasan sahih hai. Isnaadahu zaeef, riwayat Ahmad wa Tirmidhi wa Abu Dawood.
وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: إِن ابْنِي مَاتَ فَمَا لِي مِنْ مِيرَاثِهِ؟ قَالَ: «لَكَ السُّدُسُ» فَلَمَّا وَلَّى دَعَاهُ قَالَ: «لَكَ سُدُسٌ آخَرُ» فَلَمَّا وَلَّى دَعَاهُ قَالَ: «إِنَّ السُّدُسَ الْآخَرَ طُعْمَةٌ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
