He said that in the period when the Qur'an was coming down they used to withdraw the penis.* * i.e. before emission of semen, to avoid conception. (Bukhari and Muslim.) Muslim added that the Prophet heard of that and did not prohibit it.

جابر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، ہم عزل کیا کرتے تھے جبکہ قرآن نازل ہو رہا تھا ۔ بخاری ، مسلم ۔ اور امام مسلم نے مزید یہ بھی روایت کیا ہے کہ یہ بات نبی ﷺ تک پہنچی تو آپ نے ہمیں منع نہیں فرمایا ۔ متفق علیہ ۔
Jibir bayan karte hain, hum azal kya karte thay jabke Quran nazil ho raha tha. Bukhari, Muslim. Aur Imam Muslim ne mazeed yeh bhi riwayat ki hai ke yeh baat Nabi tak pahunchi to aap ne humein mana nahi farmaya. Muttafiq alaih.
وَعنهُ كُنَّا نَعْزِلُ وَالْقُرْآنُ يَنْزِلُ. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ. وَزَادَ مُسْلِمٌ: فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلم ينهنا
