Jabir b. Samura told that he heard God’s Messenger say, “There are three things I fear for my people:seeking rain by the stars,*the injustice of the ruler, and denial of God's decree.” Ahmad. *This is a reference to the pre-Islamic habit of attributing rain to certain seasons and saying the rain came to them because of a certain star, whereas Muslims ought to recognize that rain comes by God’s favour.

جابر بن سمرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا :’’ مجھے اپنی امت کے متعلق تین چیزوں کا اندیشہ ہے : ستاروں کے ذریعے بارش طلب کرنے ، بادشاہ کا ظلم کرنا اور تقدیر کو جھٹلانا ۔‘‘ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ احمد ۔
Jibir bin Samrah bayan karte hain, maine Rasool Allah ko farmate huye suna: ''Mujhe apni ummat ke mutalliq teen cheezon ka andesha hai: sitaron ke zariye barish talab karne, badshah ka zulm karna aur taqdeer ko jhutlana.'' Isnad zaeef, riwayat Ahmad.
وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم يَقُول: ثلاثةٌ أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي: الِاسْتِسْقَاءُ بِالْأَنْوَاءِ وَحَيْفُ السُّلْطَانِ وَتَكْذيب الْقدر
