Abu Umama reported the Prophet as saying, “Nothing is dearer to God than two drops and two marks, a drop of tears from fear of God and a drop of blood shed in God’s path. Regarding the two marks, they are a mark received in God’s path and one caused by observing one of the ordinances of God most high.”* * This is said to refer to such things as hacks in hands or feet through performing ablution in cold weather, or a mark on the forehead through prostrating oneself on hot ground, or having dust on one’s feet while performing pilgrimage. Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is ahasan gharibtradition.

ابوامامہ ؓ ، نبی ﷺ سے روایت کرتے ہیں ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اللہ کو دو قطروں اور دو نشانوں سے زیادہ کوئی چیز پسند نہیں ، اللہ کے ڈر سے گرنے والا آنسو اور اللہ کی راہ میں بہایا جانے والا خون کا قطرہ ، اور دو نشانوں سے مقصود ایک نشان وہ ہے جو اللہ کی راہ میں زخم یا چوٹ وغیرہ سے آئے اور دوسرا نشان اللہ کے کسی فریضہ کی ادائیگی کی صورت میں رونما ہونے والا ہے (مثلاً سجدہ وغیرہ کے نشان) ۔‘‘ ترمذی ، اور فرمایا : یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے ۔ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Abu Umama RA, Nabi SAW se riwayat karte hain, Aap SAW ne farmaya: ''Allah ko do qatron aur do nishanon se zyada koi cheez pasand nahin, Allah ke darr se girne wala aansoo aur Allah ki raah mein bahaya jane wala khoon ka qatra, aur do nishanon se maqsud ek nishan woh hai jo Allah ki raah mein zakhm ya chot waghaira se aaye aur doosra nishan Allah ke kisi fariza ki अदाigi ki soorat mein ronuma hone wala hai (maslan sajda waghaira ke nishan).'' Tirmidhi, aur farmaya: Yeh hadees hasan gharib hai. Isnaadahu hasan, riwayat Al-Tirmidhi.
وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ قَطْرَتَيْنِ وَأَثَرَيْنِ: قَطْرَةِ دُمُوعٍ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ وَقَطْرَةِ دَمٍ يُهْرَاقُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأَمَّا الْأَثَرَانِ: فَأَثَرٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأَثَرٌ فِي فَرِيضَةٍ مِنْ فَرَائِضِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ
