Abu Qatada reported the Prophet as saying, “The best type of horse is the black one with a blaze on its face and a white spot on its upper lip* next comes the horse with a blaze on its face and white on the legs, except on a right one. If it is not black, then a dark bay horse with those markings.” *Artham. This may mean either that it has a white spot on its upper lip, or on the point of its nose. Tirmidhi and Darimi transmitted it.

ابوقتادہ ؓ ، نبی ﷺ سے روایت کرتے ہیں ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ بہتر گھوڑا وہ ہے جو انتہائی سیاہ ہو اور اس کی پیشانی پر تھوڑی سی سفیدی ہو ، اس کا اوپر والا ہونٹ یا ناک سفید ہو ، پھر وہ جس کی تین ٹانگیں سفید ہوں اور آگے والی دائیں ٹانگ گھوڑے کی رنگ کی ہو ، اگر سیاہ رنگ کا نہ ہو تو پھر وہ جس میں قدرے سرخی اور قدرے سیاہی ہو اور اس کے کان سیاہ ہوں وہ بھی اس کی مثل ہے ۔‘‘ حسن ، رواہ الترمذی و الدارمی ۔
Abu Qatada RA Nabi SAW se riwayat karte hain aap SAW ne farmaya behtar ghora woh hai jo intehai siyah ho aur is ki peshani par thori si safedi ho is ka upar wala hont ya naak safed ho phir woh jis ki teen taangen safed hon aur aage wali dayen taang ghore ki rang ki ho agar siyah rang ka na ho to phir woh jis mein qadre surkhi aur qadre siahi ho aur is ke kaan siyah hon woh bhi is ki misl hai Hasan riwayat al-Tirmidhi wa al-Darmi
وَعَن أبي قَتَادَة عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «خَيْرُ الْخَيْلِ الْأَدْهَمُ الْأَقْرَحُ الْأَرْثَمُ ثُمَّ الْأَقْرَحُ الْمُحَجَّلُ طُلُقُ الْيَمِينِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَدْهَمَ فَكُمَيْتٌ عَلَى هَذِهِ الشِّيَةِ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالدَّارِمِيُّ
