‘Amr b. Shu'aib, on his father’s authority, said his grandfather told that, the Prophet approached a camel, and taking a hair from its hump said, “O people, I get nothing of this booty, not even this (meanwhile raising his finger), but the fifth, and the fifth is returned to you, so hand over threads and needles." A man got up with a ball of hair in his hand and said, “I took this to repair the cloth under a pack-saddle." The Prophet replied, “You can have what belongs to me and to the B. ‘Abd al-Muttalib," but the man said, "If it produces the result I now realise,* I have no desire for it," and he threw it away. *Literally "If it reaches what I see." Abu Dawud transmitted it.

عمرو بن شعیب اپنے والد سے اور وہ اپنے دادا سے روایت کرتے ہیں ، انہوں نے کہا : نبی ﷺ اونٹ کے قریب ہوئے تو آپ نے اس کی کوہان سے ایک بال پکڑا پھر فرمایا :’’ لوگو ! اس مالِ غنیمت سے میرے لیے کوئی چیز نہیں اور یہ (بال تک) بھی نہیں ۔ آپ ﷺ نے اپنی انگلی اٹھائی البتہ خمس ، اور خمس بھی تمہیں ہی لوٹا دیا جائے گا ، تم دھاگہ اور سوئی تک جمع کرا دو ۔‘‘ چنانچہ ایک آدمی کھڑا ہوا تو اس کے ہاتھ میں بالوں کا ایک ٹکڑا سا تھا ، اس نے عرض کیا : میں نے اسے جھل کو صحیح کرنے کے لیے لیا تھا ، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ وہ چیز جو میری اور بنو عبد المطلب کی ہے وہ تیرے لیے ہے ۔‘‘ اس آدمی نے کہا : اگر معاملہ اس قدر سنگین ہے تو مجھے اس کی کوئی ضرورت نہیں ، اور اس نے اسے پھینک دیا ۔ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ ابوداؤد ۔
Amr bin Shoaib apne walid se aur wo apne dada se riwayat karte hain, unhon ne kaha: Nabi ﷺ unt ke qareeb huye to aap ne is ki kohan se ek baal pakda phir farmaya: ''Logo! Is maal e ghanimat se mere liye koi cheez nahin aur ye (baal tak) bhi nahin. Aap ﷺ ne apni ungli uthai albatta khums, aur khums bhi tumhen hi lota diya jayega, tum dhaga aur sui tak jama kar do.'' Chunancha ek aadmi khda hua to uske hath mein baalon ka ek tukda sa tha, usne arz kiya: "Main ne ise jhul ko sahi karne ke liye liya tha." Nabi ﷺ ne farmaya: ''Wo cheez jo meri aur Banu Abd al-Muttalib ki hai wo tere liye hai.'' Is aadmi ne kaha: "Agar mamla is qadar sangin hai to mujhe is ki koi zaroorat nahin," aur usne ise phenk diya. Isnaadahu hasan, riwayah Abu Dawood.
وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: دَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ بَعِيرٍ فَأَخَذَ وَبَرَةً مِنْ سَنَامِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِي مِنْ هَذَا الْفَيْءِ شَيْءٌ وَلَا هَذَا وَرَفَعَ إِصْبَعَهُ إِلَّا الْخُمُسَ وَالْخُمُسُ مَرْدُودٌ عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَدُّوا الْخِيَاطَ وَالْمِخْيَطَ» فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فِي يَدِهِ كُبَّةٌ شَعَرٍ فَقَالَ: أَخَذْتُ هَذِهِ لِأُصْلِحَ بِهَا بَرْدَعَةً فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَمَّا مَا كانَ لي ولبني عبدِ المطلبِ فهوَ لكَ» . فَقَالَ: أمّا إِذا بَلَغَتْ مَا أَرَى فَلَا أَرَبَ لِي فِيهَا ونبَذَها. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
