Description of expelling Jews from the Arabian Peninsula

Ibn ‘Umar told that ‘Umar b. al-Khattab deported the Jews and the Christians from the land of the Hijaz and when God’s Messenger got supremacy over the people of Khaibar he intended to expel the Jews from it, for when the land was conquered it belonged to God, His Messenger and the Muslims. But the Jews asked God’s Messenger to leave them on condition that they should do all the cultivation and have half the produce, and he replied, “We shall confirm you on that condition as long as we wish.” So they were confirmed till ‘Umar deported them during his period of rule to Taima and Jericho. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

ابن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ عمر بن خطاب ؓ نے یہود و نصاریٰ کو سرزمینِ حجاز سے جلا وطن کر دیا ، اور جب رسول اللہ ﷺ اہل خیبر پر غالب آئے تو آپ نے یہود و نصاریٰ کو وہاں سے نکالنے کا ارادہ فرمایا تھا ، اور جب آپ اس سرزمین پر غالب آئے تھے تو وہ زمین اللہ ، اس کے رسول اور مسلمانوں کے لیے تھی ، یہود نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے درخواست کی کہ وہ ان کی زمینوں کو چھوڑ دیں تا کہ وہ (یہود) کھیتی باڑی کریں اور پیداوار کا نصف ان کے لیے ہو ، تب رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ جتنا عرصہ ہم چاہیں گے تم کو رکھیں گے ۔‘‘ انہیں رکھا گیا حتی کہ عمر ؓ نے اپنی امارت میں انہیں تیماء اور اریحاء کی طرف جلا وطن کر دیا ۔ متفق علیہ ۔
Ibn Umar RA se riwayat hai ki Umar bin Khattab RA ne Yahoodi o Nasara ko sarzameen-e-hijaz se jala watan kar diya, aur jab Rasul Allah SAW ahl Khyber par ghalib aaye to aap ne Yahoodi o Nasara ko wahan se nikalne ka irada farmaya tha, aur jab aap is sarzameen par ghalib aaye the to woh zameen Allah, us ke Rasul aur Musalmanon ke liye thi, Yahoodi ne Rasul Allah SAW se darkhwast ki ke woh un ki zameenon ko chhor den taake woh (Yahoodi) kheti baari karen aur paidaawar ka nisf un ke liye ho, tab Rasul Allah SAW ne farmaya: ''Jitna arsa hum chahenge tum ko rakhenge.'' Unhen rakha gaya hatta ke Umar RA ne apni imaarat mein unhen Timaa aur Ariha ki taraf jala watan kar diya. Muttafiq alaih.
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَجْلَى الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى مِنْ أَرْضِ الْحِجَازِ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا ظَهَرَ عَلَى أَهْلِ خَيْبَرَ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُخْرِجَ الْيَهُودَ مِنْهَا وَكَانَتِ الْأَرْضُ لَمَّا ظُهِرَ عَلَيْهَا لِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ وَلِلْمُسْلِمِينَ فَسَأَلَ الْيَهُودُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَتْرُكَهُمْ عَلَى أَنْ يَكْفُوا الْعَمَلَ وَلَهُمْ نِصْفُ الثَّمَرِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «نُقِرُّكُمْ على ذَلِك مَا شِئْنَا» فَأُقِرُّوا حَتَّى أَجْلَاهُمْ عُمَرُ فِي إِمارته إِلى تَيماءَ وأريحاء
