Abu Tha'laba al-Khushani told that he said, “Messenger of God, we travel about and when we come to Jews, Christians and Magians we can get nothing but their vessels.” He replied, “If you can get nothing else, wash them with water and then eat and drink out of them.” Tirmidhi transmitted it.

ابو ثعلبہ خشنی ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں نے عرض کیا : اللہ کے رسول ! ہم مسافر لوگ ہیں ، ہم یہود و نصاریٰ اور مجوسیوں کے پاس سے گزرتے ہیں ، ہمیں ان کے برتن ہی دستیاب ہوتے ہیں ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اگر تم ان کے علاوہ نہ پاؤ تو انہیں پانی کے ساتھ دھو لو پھر ان میں کھاؤ پیو ۔‘‘ صحیح ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Abu Salama Khushani bayan karte hain, main ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! hum musafir log hain, hum Yahood o Nasara aur Majosion ke paas se guzarte hain, hamen un ke bartan hi dastyab hote hain, Aap ne farmaya: ''Agar tum un ke ilawa na pao to unhen pani ke sath dho lo phir un mein khao piyo.'' Sahih, Riwayat Tirmizi.
وَعَن أبي ثَعْلَبَة الْخُشَنِي قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا أَهْلُ سفر تمر الْيَهُود وَالنَّصَارَى وَالْمَجُوسِ فَلَا نَجِدُ غَيْرَ آنِيَتِهِمْ قَالَ: «فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا غَيْرَهَا فَاغْسِلُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ ثُمَّ كلوا فِيهَا وَاشْرَبُوا» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
