Salman said he read in the Torah that the blessing of food consists in ablution after it, and when he mentioned that to the Prophet he said, “The blessing of food consists in ablution before it and ablution after it.” Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

سلمان ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں نے تورات میں پڑھا کہ کھانے کی برکت اس کے بعد ہاتھ منہ دھونے میں ہے ، میں نے نبی ﷺ سے اس کا ذکر کیا تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ کھانے کی برکت اس سے پہلے اور اس کے بعد ہاتھ منہ دھونے میں ہے ۔‘‘ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ الترمذی و ابوداؤد ۔
Salman RA bayan karte hain, main ne to Toret mein parha ke khanay ki barkat us ke baad hath munh dhone mein hai, main ne Nabi SAW se is ka zikar kiya to Rasool Allah SAW ne farmaya: ''Khanay ki barkat us se pehle aur us ke baad hath munh dhone mein hai.'' Isnaad-e-zaeef, riwayat Tirmizi wa Abu Dawood.
وَعَن سلمانَ قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ أَنَّ بَرَكَةَ الطَّعَامِ الْوُضُوءُ بَعْدَهُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «بَرَكَةُ الطَّعَامِ الْوُضُوءُ قَبْلَهُ وَالْوُضُوءُ بعدَه» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَأَبُو دَاوُد
