Abu Kabsha said the headgear worn by God's messenger's Companions was flat. (It is not clear whether the reference here is to headgear which was low and wide, or to wide sleeves. The former seems to be preferred. Cf. Mirqat, iv, 424.) Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a tradition which is rejected.

ابو کبشہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ کے صحابہ کی ٹوپیاں سروں کے ساتھ لگی ہوئیں تھیں (یعنی اوپر اٹھی ہوئی نہیں تھیں) ۔ ترمذی ، اور انہوں نے فرمایا : یہ حدیث منکر ہے ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Abu Kabsha RA bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah SAW ke sahaba ki topiyan saron ke sath lagi hui thin (yani upar uthi hui nahin thin). Tirmidhi, aur unhon ne farmaya: yeh hadees munkar hai. Isnada zaeef, riwayat al-Tirmidhi.
