Abu Huraira told of hearing God's messenger say, “There should be no taking of omens, but the best type is the good omen." He was asked what a good omen was and replied, “A good word which one of you hears." (Bukhari and Muslim.)

ابوہریرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا :’’ بدشگونی کچھ بھی نہیں ، اور اس کی بہتر صورت فال ہے ۔‘‘ صحابہ ؓ نے عرض کیا ، فال کیا ہے ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اچھی بات جو تم میں سے کوئی ایک سنتا ہے ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Abu Hurairah bayan karte hain, main ne Rasul Allah ko farmate huye suna: ''Badshaguni kuchh bhi nahin, aur is ki behtar surat faal hai.'' Sahaba ne arz kiya, faal kya hai? Aap ne farmaya: ''Achhi baat jo tum mein se koi ek sunta hai.'' Muttafiq alaih.
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لَا طِيَرَةَ وَخَيْرُهَا الْفَأْلُ» قَالُوا: وَمَا الْفَأْلُ؟ قَالَ: «الْكَلِمَةُ الصَّالِحَة يسْمعهَا أحدكُم»
