Description of the virtue of the poor and the Prophet's (SAW) passing
بيان فضل الفقراء ومرور النبي ﷺ
Mishkat al-Masabih 5253
It is narrated on the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “No one has been threatened in the way of Allah as much as I have been threatened, and no one has been harmed in the way of Allah as much as I have been harmed. Thirty days and nights passed over me and Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) when we had nothing to eat except what Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) could hide under his armpit.” Imam Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “The meaning of this hadith is that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) migrated from Makkah, Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him, and Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) had only a small amount of food that he used to keep under his armpit.” Sahih, Narrated by Tirmidhi.

انس ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے کہا ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ مجھے اللہ کی راہ میں جتنا ڈرایا گیا ہے اتنا کسی کو نہیں ڈرایا گیا ، اللہ کی راہ میں جتنی مجھے اذیت دی گئی ہے اتنی کسی کو اذیت نہیں دی گئی ، مجھ پر تیس دن رات بھی گزرے ہیں کہ میرے اور بلال ؓ کے لیے ایسی کوئی چیز نہیں تھی جسے کوئی جاندار کھاتا ہے ، البتہ اتنی (قلیل) چیز تھی جسے بلال ؓ کی بغل چھپا لیتی تھی ۔‘‘ اور امام ترمذی ؒ نے فرمایا : اس حدیث کا معنی یہ ہے کہ جب نبی ﷺ مکہ سے بھاگ نکلے تھے تو بلال ؓ آپ کے ساتھ تھے ، اور بلال ؓ کے پاس بس اتنا سا کھانا تھا جو وہ اپنی بغل کے نیچے رکھتے تھے ۔ اسنادہ صحیح ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Anas (RA) se riwayat hai ki unhon ne kaha, Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: “Mujhe Allah ki raah mein jitna daraya gaya hai utna kisi ko nahi daraya gaya, Allah ki raah mein jitni mujhe azat di gai hai utni kisi ko azat nahi di gai, mujh par tees din raat bhi guzre hain ki mere aur Bilal (RA) ke liye aisi koi cheez nahi thi jise koi jandar khata hai, albata itni (qaleel) cheez thi jise Bilal (RA) ki baghal chhupa leti thi." Aur Imam Tirmidhi (RA) ne farmaya: Is hadees ka mani yeh hai ki jab Nabi (SAW) Makkah se bhaag nikle the to Bilal (RA) aap ke sath the, aur Bilal (RA) ke pass bas itna sa khana tha jo woh apni baghal ke niche rakhte the. وَعَنْ\أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَقَدْ أُخِفْتُ فِي اللَّهِ وَمَا يُخَافُ أَحَدٌ وَلَقَدْ أُوذِيتُ فِي اللَّهِ وَمَا يُؤْذَى أَحَدٌ وَلَقَدْ أَتَتْ عَلَيَّ ثَلَاثُونَ مِنْ بَيْنِ لَيْلَةٍ وَيَوْمٍ وَمَا لِي وَلِبِلَالٍ طَعَامٌ يَأْكُلُهُ ذُو كَبِدٍ إِلَّا شَيْءٌ يُوَارِيهِ إِبْطُ بِلَالٍ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ قَالَ: وَمَعْنَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ: حِينَ خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَارِبًا مِنْ مَكَّةَ وَمَعَهُ بِلَالٌ إِنَّمَا كَانَ مَعَ بِلَالٍ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ مَا يَحْمِلُ تحتَ إبطه\
