بيان محبة المال والعمر لطاعة الله وعبادته
Mishkat al-Masabih 5285
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Bakr that a man asked: “O Messenger of Allah! Which man is the best?” He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: “The one who lives long and whose deeds are good (i.e., according to the Quran and Sunnah).” The man asked: “Who is the worst person?” He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: “The one who lives long and whose deeds are evil.” (Weak Hadith, narrated by Ahmad and Ad-Darimi)

ابوبکرہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے رسول ! کون سا آدمی بہتر ہے ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ جس کی عمر دراز ہو اور اس کا عمل اچھا (یعنی قرآن و سنت کے مطابق) ہو ۔‘‘ اس شخص نے عرض کیا ، سب سے برا شخص کون ہے ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ جس کی عمر دراز ہو اور اس کا عمل برا ہو ۔‘‘ سندہ ضعیف ، رواہ احمد و الدارمی ۔
Abu Huraira RA se riwayat hai ki aik aadmi ne arz kiya, Allah ke Rasool! Kaun sa aadmi behtar hai? Aap SAW ne farmaya: "Jis ki umar daraz ho aur us ka amal achha (yani Quran o Sunnat ke mutabiq) ho." Uss shakhs ne arz kiya, sab se bura shakhs kaun hai? Aap SAW ne farmaya: "Jis ki umar daraz ho aur us ka amal bura ho." Sanad zaeef, riwayat Ahmad o Darmi.
عَن أبي بكرةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ النَّاسِ خيرٌ؟ قَالَ: «مَن طالَ عمُرُه وحسُنَ عَمَلُهُ» . قَالَ: فَأَيُّ النَّاسِ شَرٌّ؟ قَالَ: «مَنْ طَالَ عُمُرُهُ وَسَاءَ عَمَلُهُ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ والدارمي
