Umar ibn Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "If you were to rely upon Allah with the reliance due to Him, He would surely provide for you just as He provides for the birds. They go out in the morning hungry and return in the evening full." (Hasan, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah)

عمر بن خطاب ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا :’’ اگر تم اللہ پر اس طرح توکل کرو جس طرح اس پر توکل کرنے کا حق ہے ، تو وہ تمہیں اس طرح رزق فراہم کرے جس طرح وہ پرندوں کو رزق فراہم کرتا ہے ، وہ صبح کے وقت بھوکے نکلتے ہیں اور شام کے وقت شکم سیر ہو کر واپس آتے ہیں ۔‘‘ حسن ، رواہ الترمذی و ابن ماجہ ۔
Umar bin Khattab bayan karte hain, maine Rasul Allah ko farmate huye suna: ''Agar tum Allah par is tarah tawakkul karo jis tarah is par tawakkul karne ka haq hai, to wo tumhen is tarah rizq faraham kare jis tarah wo parindon ko rizq faraham karta hai, wo subah ke waqt bhooke nikalte hain aur sham ke waqt shikam ser ho kar wapas aate hain.'' عَن عمر بن الْخطاب قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ تَتَوَكَّلُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ حَقَّ تَوَكُّلِهِ لَرَزَقَكُمْ كَمَا يَرْزُقُ الطَّيْرَ تَغْدُو خِمَاصًا وَتَرُوحُ بِطَانًا . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ
