Mishkat al-Masabih 5328
It is narrated on the authority of Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day he came to the mosque of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and saw Muadh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) crying near the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He asked him: “What is making you cry?” He said: “What is making me cry is something that I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: ‘Even a small amount of showing off is shirk, and whoever shows enmity to a friend of mine has come out to fight against Allah in the battlefield. Verily, Allah loves righteous, God-fearing, and unknown people, who are not sought after when they are absent, and who are not invited or approached when they are present. Their hearts are lamps of guidance, free from every type of dust.’” (They do not fall prey to any temptation).

عمر بن خطاب ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ وہ ایک روز رسول اللہ ﷺ کی مسجد کی طرف آئے تو انہوں نے معاذ بن جبل ؓ کو نبی ﷺ کی قبر کے پاس روتا ہوا دیکھ کر ان سے پوچھا : تمہیں کون سی چیز رلا رہی ہے ؟ انہوں نے فرمایا : مجھے وہ چیز رلا رہی ہے جو میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے سنی تھی ، میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا :’’ معمولی سی ریا کاری بھی شرک ہے ، اور جس شخص نے میرے کسی دوست سے دشمنی رکھی تو وہ شخص اللہ کے ساتھ جنگ کرنے کے لیے میدان میں اتر آیا ، بے شک اللہ ایسے نیک ، متقی اور گم نام لوگوں کو پسند کرتا ہے کہ جب وہ غائب ہوں تو انہیں تلاش نہ کیا جاتا ہو اور اگر موجود ہوں تو انہیں مدعو نہیں کیا جاتا اور نہ انہیں قریب کیا جاتا ہے ۔ ان کے دل ہدایت کے چراغ ہیں ، وہ ہر قسم کے گرد و غبار سے دور ہیں ۔‘‘ (کسی فتنے کا شکار نہیں ہوتے) اسنادہ ضعیف جذا ، رواہ ابن ماجہ و البیھقی فی شعب الایمان ۔
Umar bin Khattab RA se riwayat hai ki woh aik roz Rasul Allah SAW ki masjid ki taraf aye to unhon ne Muaz bin Jabal RA ko Nabi SAW ki qabar ke pass rota hua dekh kar un se pucha: Tumhen kon si cheez rula rahi hai? Unhon ne farmaya: Mujhe woh cheez rula rahi hai jo maine Rasul Allah SAW se suni thi, maine Rasul Allah SAW ko farmate huye suna: ''Mamuli si riyakari bhi shirk hai, aur jis shakhs ne mere kisi dost se dushmani rakhi to woh shakhs Allah ke sath jang karne ke liye maidan mein utar aaya, be shak Allah aise nek, muttaqi aur gumnam logon ko pasand karta hai ki jab woh ghaib hon to unhen talaash na kiya jata ho aur agar mojood hon to unhen mad'u nahin kiya jata aur na unhen qareeb kiya jata hai. Un ke dil hidayat ke charagh hain, woh har qisam ke gard o ghubar se door hain.'' (Kisi fitne ka shikar nahin hote) Isnadah zaeef jada, riwayat Ibn Majah wa al-Bayhaqi fi Shu'ab al-Iman.
وَعَن\عمر بن الْخطاب أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ يَوْمًا إِلَى مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَوَجَدَ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ قَاعِدًا عِنْدَ قَبْرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْكِي فَقَالَ: مَا يُبْكِيكَ؟ قَالَ: يُبْكِينِي شَيْءٌ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ يَسِيرَ الرِّيَاءِ شِرْكٌ وَمَنْ عَادَى لِلَّهِ وَلِيًّا فَقَدْ بَارَزَ اللَّهَ بِالْمُحَارَبَةِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْأَبْرَارَ الْأَتْقِيَاءَ الْأَخْفِيَاءَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا غَابُوا لَمْ يُتَفَقَّدُوا وَإِنْ حَضَرُوا لَمْ يُدْعَوْا وَلَمْ يُقَرَّبُوا قُلُوبُهُمْ مَصَابِيحُ الْهُدَى يَخْرُجُونَ مِنْ كُلِّ غَبْرَاءَ مُظْلِمَةٍ» . رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي «شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ»\
