Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: People used to ask the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about good things, while I used to ask him about bad things, fearing that they might overtake me. He said: "We were steeped in ignorance and evil, then Allah brought us this good (i.e., Islam). Will there be any evil after this good?" He (the Prophet) replied: "Yes." I asked: "And will there be good after that evil?" He replied: "Yes, but it will be tainted with weakness." I asked: "What will be its weakness?" He replied: "Some people will follow a path different from my Sunnah and guidance, you will recognize some of their matters as good and some as bad." I asked: "Will there be any evil after that good?" He replied: "Yes, there will be callers at the gates of Hellfire, and whoever responds to their call, they will throw them into it." I asked: "O Messenger of Allah, describe them to us." He replied: "They will belong to our own people and speak our language." I asked: "What do you command me to do if I live to see that time?" He replied: "Stick to the main body of the Muslims and their leader (ruler)." I asked: "What if there is no main body (jama'ah) and no leader?" He replied: "Then isolate yourself from all those sects, even if you have to bite on the roots of a tree, until death comes to you while you are in that state." And in the narration of Sahih Muslim, it is stated: "There will be rulers after me who will not be guided by my guidance, nor will they follow my Sunnah. And there will be among them people whose hearts will be like the hearts of devils in the bodies of human beings." Hudhayfah said: I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what should I do if I witness that?" He replied: "Listen and obey the ruler even if he beats your back and takes your wealth. Listen and obey." (Agreed upon)

حذیفہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، لوگ رسول اللہ ﷺ سے خیر کے متعلق دریافت کیا کرتے تھے جبکہ میں آپ سے شر کے متعلق ، اس اندیشے کے پیش نظر پوچھا کرتا تھا کہ وہ کہیں مجھے اپنی گرفت میں نہ لے لے ، وہ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے رسول ! ہم جاہلیت اور شر میں مبتلا تھے ، اللہ نے ہمیں اس خیر سے نواز دیا ، تو کیا اس خیر کے بعد کوئی شر بھی آئے گا ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ہاں ۔‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا اس شر کے بعد کوئی خیر بھی آئے گی ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ہاں ! لیکن اس میں کمزوری ہو گی ۔‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا ، اس کی کمزوری کیا ہو گی ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ کچھ لوگ میری سنت اور میرے طریق کے خلاف چلیں گے ، ان کی بعض باتوں کو تم اچھا سمجھو گے اور بعض کو برا ۔‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا : کیا اس خیر کے بعد شر ہو گا ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ہاں ، ابواب جہنم پر دعوت دینے والے ہوں گے ، جس نے ان کی دعوت کو قبول کر لیا تو وہ اس کو اس میں پھینک دیں گے ۔‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا : اللہ کے رسول ! ان کا تعارف کرا دیں ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ وہ ہمارے ہی قبیلے سے ہوں گے اور وہ ہماری زبان میں کلام کریں گے ۔‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا ، اگر اس (زمانے) نے مجھے پا لیا تو آپ مجھے کیا حکم فرماتے ہیں ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ مسلمانوں کی جماعت اور ان کے امیر کے ساتھ لگ جانا ۔‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا ، اگر ان کی جماعت نہ ہو اور نہ ان کا امام (تو پھر کیا کروں ؟) آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ان تمام فرقوں سے الگ ہو جانا خواہ تمہیں درخت کی جڑیں چبانی پڑیں حتیٰ کہ تمہیں اسی حالت میں موت آ جائے ۔‘‘\nاور صحیح مسلم کی روایت میں ہے ، فرمایا :’’ میرے بعد حکمران ہوں گے جو نہ تو میری ہدایت و طریق سے راہنمائی لیں گے اور نہ میری سنت کے مطابق عمل کریں گے اور ان میں کچھ لوگ ایسے ہوں گے ، جن کے ڈھانچے انسانی اور دل شیطان ہوں گے ۔‘‘ حذیفہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے رسول ! اگر میں یہ صورت حال دیکھوں تو میں کیا کروں ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ امیر کی بات سننا اور اس کی اطاعت کرنا ، اگرچہ تجھے مارا جائے اور تمہارا مال لے لیا جائے ، تم سنو اور اطاعت کرو ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔\n
Huzayfah RA bayan karte hain, log Rasool Allah SAW se khair ke mutalliq daryaft kiya karte thay jabkay main aap se shar ke mutalliq, is andeshay ke pesh-e-nazar poocha karta tha ke woh kahin mujhe apni giraft mein na le le, woh bayan karte hain, maine arz kiya, Allah ke Rasool! Hum jahiliyat aur shar mein mubtala thay, Allah ne hamein is khair se nawaza diya, to kya is khair ke baad koi shar bhi aaye ga? Aap SAW ne farmaya: '' Haan.'' Maine arz kiya is shar ke baad koi khair bhi aaye gi? Aap SAW ne farmaya: '' Haan! Lekin is mein kamzori ho gi.'' Maine arz kiya, is ki kamzori kya ho gi? Aap SAW ne farmaya: '' Kuchh log meri sunnat aur mere tareeq ke khilaf chalenge, un ki baaz baaton ko tum achcha samjhoge aur baaz ko bura.'' Maine arz kiya: Kya is khair ke baad shar ho ga? Aap SAW ne farmaya: '' Haan, abwab jahannam par dawat dene wale honge, jis ne un ki dawat ko qubool kar liya to woh us ko is mein phenk denge.'' Maine arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Un ka taaruf kara den, Aap SAW ne farmaya: '' Woh humare hi qabile se honge aur woh hamari zaban mein kalaam karenge.'' Maine arz kiya, agar is (zamaane) ne mujhe pa liya to aap mujhe kya hukum farmate hain? Aap SAW ne farmaya: '' Musalmanon ki jamaat aur un ke ameer ke sath lag jana.'' Maine arz kiya, agar un ki jamaat na ho aur na un ka imam (to phir kya karoon?) Aap SAW ne farmaya: '' Un tamam firqon se alag ho jana khawah tumhen darakht ki jaden chabani paden hatya ke tumhen isi halat mein maut aa jaye.'' Aur Sahih Muslim ki riwayat mein hai, farmaya: '' Mere baad hukmran honge jo na to meri hidayat-o-tareeq se rahnumai lenge aur na meri sunnat ke mutabiq amal karenge aur un mein kuchh log aise honge, jin ke dhaanchay insani aur dil shaitan honge.'' Huzayfah RA bayan karte hain, maine arz kiya, Allah ke Rasool! Agar main yeh surat-e-haal dekhoon to main kya karoon? Aap SAW ne farmaya: '' Ameer ki baat sunna aur us ki itaat karna, agarchay tumhen mara jaye aur tumhara maal le liya jaye, tum suno aur itaat karo.'' Mutaffiq Alaih.
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: كَانَ النَّاسُ يَسْأَلُونَ رَسُول الله صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسلم عَن الْخَيْرِ وَكُنْتُ أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الشَّرِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُدْرِكَنِي قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا كُنَّا فِي جَاهِلِيَّةٍ وَشَرٍّ فَجَاءَنَا اللَّهُ بِهَذَا الْخَيْرِ فَهَلْ بَعْدَ هَذَا الْخَيْرِ مِنْ شَرٍّ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» قُلْتُ: وَهَلْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الشَّرِّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ وَفِيهِ دَخَنٌ» . قُلْتُ: وَمَا دَخَنُهُ؟ قَالَ: «قَوْمٌ يَسْتَنُّونَ بِغَيْرِ سُنَّتِي وَيَهْدُونَ بِغَيْرِ هَدْيِي تَعْرِفُ مِنْهُمْ وَتُنْكِرُ» . قُلْتُ: فَهَلْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْخَيْرِ مِنْ شَرٍّ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ دُعَاةٌ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ جَهَنَّمَ مَنْ أَجَابَهُمْ إِلَيْهَا قَذَفُوهُ فِيهَا» . قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صِفْهُمْ لَنَا. قَالَ: «هُمْ مِنْ جِلْدَتِنَا وَيَتَكَلَّمُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِنَا» . قُلْتُ: فَمَا تَأْمُرُنِي إِنْ أَدْرَكَنِي ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ: «تَلْزَمُ جَمَاعَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَإِمَامَهُمْ» . قُلْتُ: فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ جَمَاعَةٌ وَلَا إِمَامٌ؟ قَالَ: «فَاعْتَزِلْ تِلْكَ الْفِرَقَ كُلَّهَا وَلَوْ أَنْ تَعَضَّ بِأَصْلِ شَجَرَةٍ حَتَّى يُدْرِكَكَ الْمَوْتُ وَأَنْتَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ» . مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ. وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ لِمُسْلِمٍ: قَالَ: «يَكُونُ بَعْدِي أَئِمَّةٌ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ بِهُدَايَ وَلَا يَسْتَنُّونَ بِسُنَتِي وَسَيَقُومُ فِيهِمْ رِجَالٌ قُلُوبُهُمْ قُلُوبُ الشَّيَاطِينِ فِي جُثْمَانِ إِنْسٍ» . قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ: قُلْتُ: كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنْ أَدْرَكْتُ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ: تَسْمَعُ وَتُطِيعُ الْأَمِيرَ وَإِنْ ضَرَبَ ظهرك وَأخذ مَالك فاسمع وأطع
