It is narrated on the authority of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Jewish woman from the people of Khaibar presented a roasted goat to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as a gift, having poisoned it. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took a bite and ate from it, and some of his noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) also ate with him. Then, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Withdraw your hands (from the food)." He summoned the Jewish woman and said, "Did you put poison in this goat?" She said, "Who told you?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "This morsel in my hand has informed me." She said, "Yes, I said to myself, 'If he is a true prophet, it will not harm him, and if he is not a true prophet, we will be relieved of him'." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pardoned her and did not punish her. As for the Companions who had eaten from the goat, they died. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had cupping done between his shoulders due to the goat meat he had eaten. Abu Hind, a freed slave of Banu Bayadah from the Ansar tribe, performed the cupping for him using horns and a razor. This narration is weak (in authenticity). It was narrated by Abu Dawud and Ad-Daraqutni.

جابر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ اہل خیبر کی ایک یہودی عورت نے ایک بھنی ہوئی بکری میں زہر ملا دی ، پھر رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت میں ہدیہ کے طور پر بھیج دیا ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے دستی لی اور اس سے کھایا ، اور آپ کے چند صحابہ کرام ؓ نے بھی آپ کے ساتھ کھایا ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اپنے ہاتھ (کھانے سے) اٹھا لو ۔‘‘ آپ نے یہودی عورت کو بلا بھیجا اور فرمایا :’’ کیا تو نے اس بکری میں زہر ملائی تھی ؟‘‘ اس نے کہا : آپ کو کس نے بتایا ہے ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ میرے ہاتھ میں یہ جو دستی ہے اس نے مجھے بتایا ہے ۔‘‘ اس نے عرض کیا : جی ہاں ، میں نے کہا : اگر تو وہ سچے نبی ہوئے تو یہ اسے نقصان نہیں پہنچائے گی ، اور اگر وہ سچے نبی نہ ہوئے تو ہم اس سے آرام پا جائیں گے ۔ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اس کو معاف فرما دیا اور اسے سزا نہ دی ، اور آپ کے جن صحابہ کرام نے بکری کا گوشت کھایا تھا وہ فوت ہو گئے ، جبکہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے بکری کا گوشت کھانے کی وجہ سے اپنے کندھوں کے درمیان پچھنے لگوائے ، ابوہند جو کہ انصار قبیلے بنو بیاضہ کے آزاد کردہ غلام تھے ، انہوں نے سینگ اور چھری کے ساتھ آپ ﷺ کے پچھنے لگائے تھے ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ ابوداؤد و الدارمی ۔
Jibir RA se riwayat hai keh ahl khyber ki aik yahoodi aurat ne aik bhuni hui bakri mein zahr mila di, phir Rasool Allah SAW ki khidmat mein hadiya ke tor par bhej diya, Rasool Allah SAW ne dasti li aur us se khaya, aur aap ke chand sahaba kiram RA ne bhi aap ke sath khaya, Rasool Allah SAW ne farmaya: ''Apne hath (khane se) utha lo.'' Aap ne yahoodi aurat ko bula bheja aur farmaya: ''Kya tune is bakri mein zahr milayi thi?'' Us ne kaha: Aap ko kis ne bataya hai? Aap SAW ne farmaya: ''Mere hath mein yeh jo dasti hai is ne mujhe bataya hai.'' Us ne arz kiya: Jee haan, maine kaha: Agar tu woh sachhe nabi hue to yeh use nuksan nahin pahunchaye gi, aur agar woh sachhe nabi na hue to hum us se aaram pa jayen ge. Rasool Allah SAW ne us ko maaf farma diya aur use saza na di, aur aap ke jin sahaba kiram ne bakri ka gosht khaya tha woh faut ho gaye, jab keh Rasool Allah SAW ne bakri ka gosht khane ki wajah se apne kandhon ke darmiyan pachhne lagwaye, Abuhuraira jo keh Ansar qabeele Banu Bayzah ke aazaad kardah gulam thay, unhon ne seeng aur chhuri ke sath aap SAW ke pachhne lagwaye thay. وَعَن\جَابر بِأَن يَهُودِيَّةً مِنْ أَهْلِ خَيْبَرَ سَمَّتْ شَاةً مَصْلِيَّةً ثُمَّ أَهْدَتْهَا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الذِّرَاعَ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا وَأَكَلَ رَهْطٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ مَعَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ارْفَعُوا أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى الْيَهُودِيَّةِ فَدَعَاهَا فَقَالَ سممتِ هَذِهِ الشَّاةَ فَقَالَتْ مَنْ أَخْبَرَكَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَتْنِي هَذِه فِي يَدي للذِّراع قَالَت نعم قَالَت قلت إِن كَانَ نَبيا فَلَنْ يضرّهُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيًّا اسْتَرَحْنَا مِنْهُ فَعَفَا عَنْهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَمْ يُعَاقِبهَا وَتُوفِّي بعض أَصْحَابُهُ الَّذِينَ أَكَلُوا مِنَ الشَّاةِ وَاحْتَجَمَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى كَاهِلِهِ مِنْ أَجْلِ الَّذِي أَكَلَ مِنَ الشَّاةِ حَجَمَهُ أَبُو هِنْدٍ بِالْقَرْنِ وَالشَّفْرَةِ وَهُوَ مَوْلًى لِبَنِي بَيَاضَةَ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالدَّارِمِيُّ\
