بيان مناقب قريش وذكر القبائل
Mishkat al-Masabih 6005
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Tufail bin 'Amr Dhusi came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "The tribe of Daws have perished; they disobeyed and disbelieved. Please invoke Allah against them." The people thought that he (the Prophet) would invoke Allah against them. But he said, "O Allah! Guide the tribe of Daws and bring them (to Islam)." - Agreed upon.

ابوہریرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، طفیل بن عمرو دوسی رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے تو انہوں نے عرض کیا : دوس قبیلہ ہلاک ہو گیا ، اس نے نافرمانی کی اور انکار کیا ، آپ ان کے لیے بددعا کریں ، لوگوں نے سمجھا کہ آپ ان کے لئے بددعا کریں گے ۔ لیکن آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اے اللہ ! دوس کو ہدایت نصیب فرما اور انہیں (مسلمان بنا کر) لے آ ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Abu Hurairah bayan karte hain, Tufail bin Amro Dausi Rasul Allah ki khidmat mein hazir hue to unhon ne arz kiya: Daus qabila halak ho gaya, is ne nafarmani ki aur inkar kiya, aap un ke liye baddua karen, logon ne samjha ke aap un ke liye baddua karenge. Lekin aap ne farmaya: “Aye Allah! Daus ko hidayat naseeb farma aur unhen (Musalman bana kar) le aa.” Muttafiq alaih.
وَعَن أبي هريرةَ قَالَ: جَاءَ الطُّفَيْلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدَّوْسِيُّ إِلَى رَسُول الله صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وسل فَقَالَ: إِنَّ دَوْسًا قَدْ هَلَكَتْ عَصَتْ وَأَبَتْ فَادْعُ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَظَنَّ النَّاسُ أَنَّهُ يَدْعُو عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا وَأْتِ بِهِمْ» . مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ
