بيان مناقب قريش وذكر القبائل
Mishkat al-Masabih 6004
Narrated Nafi: Two men came to Ibn Umar before the outbreak of the evil (Fitnah) of Ibn Az-Zubair. They said, "The people have done what you see, and you are the son of `Umar and the companion of the Prophet, so what prevents you from coming out (to fight)?" He said, "What prevents me (from fighting) is that Allah has forbidden me to shed the blood of the Muslims." They said, "Didn't Allah say, 'And fight them till there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and religion (worship) is for Allah (Alone)...? (8.39)' " Ibn 'Umar replied, "We fought (the infidels) till there was no more Fitnah (disbelief) and religion was for Allah Alone. Do you want me to fight till there will be Fitnah and religion will no longer be for Allah?" (Sahih al-Bukhari)

نافع ؒ سے روایت ہے کہ ابن زبیر ؓ کے فتنے سے پہلے دو آدمی ابن عمر ؓ کے پاس آئے اور انہوں نے کہا : لوگوں نے جو کچھ کیا آپ اسے دیکھ رہے ہیں اور آپ عمر ؓ کے بیٹے اور رسول اللہ ﷺ کے صحابی ہیں ، آپ کو نکلنے سے کون سی چیز مانع ہے ؟ انہوں نے فرمایا : میرے لیے یہ چیز مانع تھی کہ اللہ نے مسلمان کو قتل کرنا مجھ پر حرام قرار دیا ہے ، ان دونوں نے کہا : کیا اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ نہیں فرمایا :’’ ان سے قتال کرو حتیٰ کہ فتنہ ختم ہو جائے ۔‘‘ ابن عمر ؓ نے فرمایا : ہم نے قتال کیا حتیٰ کہ فتنہ (شرک) ختم ہو گیا اور دین خالص اللہ کے لیے ہو گیا ، اور تم چاہتے ہو کہ تم لڑو حتیٰ کہ فتنہ پیدا ہو اور دین غیر اللہ کے لیے ہو جائے ۔ رواہ البخاری ۔
Nafi (RA) se riwayat hai ki Ibn Zubair (RA) ke fitne se pehle do aadmi Ibn Umar (RA) ke paas aaye aur unhon ne kaha: Logon ne jo kuch kiya aap use dekh rahe hain aur aap Umar (RA) ke bete aur Rasul Allah (SAW) ke sahabi hain, aap ko nikalne se kaun si cheez mane hai? Unhon ne farmaya: Mere liye yeh cheez mane thi ki Allah ne musalman ko qatal karna mujh par haram qarar diya hai, un donon ne kaha: Kya Allah Ta'ala ne yeh nahin farmaya: "In se qatal karo hatta ki fitna khatam ho jaye." Ibn Umar (RA) ne farmaya: Hum ne qatal kiya hatta ki fitna (shirk) khatam ho gaya aur deen khalis Allah ke liye ho gaya, aur tum chahte ho ki tum lado hatta ki fitna peda ho aur deen ghair Allah ke liye ho jaye. وَعَن\نَافِع عَن ابْنَ عُمَرَ أَتَاهُ رَجُلَانِ فِي فِتْنَةِ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ فَقَالَا: إِنَّ النَّاسَ صَنَعُوا مَا تَرَى وَأَنْتَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَصَاحِبُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَا يَمْنَعُكَ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ؟ فَقَالَ: يَمْنعنِي أنَّ اللَّهَ حرم دَمَ أَخِي الْمُسْلِمِ. قَالَا: أَلَمْ يَقُلِ اللَّهُ: [وقاتلوهم حَتَّى لَا تكونَ فتْنَة] فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: قَدْ قَاتَلْنَا حَتَّى لَمْ تَكُنْ فِتْنَةٌ وَكَانَ الدِّينُ لِلَّهِ وَأَنْتُمْ تُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تُقَاتِلُوا حَتَّى تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ لغيرِ اللَّهِ. رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ\
