Description of the virtues of Hazrat Uthman (RA)
بيان مناقب حضرة عثمان رضي الله عنه
Mishkat al-Masabih 6079
Abu Sahlah reported that 'Uthman said to me on the day of his siege, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, took a pledge from me and I am adhering to it." Tirmidhi transmitted it, and he said: This hadith is hasan sahih. Sahih, narrated by Tirmidhi.

ابوسہلہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، عثمان ؓ نے محاصرے کے دن مجھے فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے مجھ سے ایک عہد لیا تھا اور اس پر میں قائم ہوں ۔‘‘ ترمذی ، اور انہوں نے فرمایا : یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے ۔ صحیح ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Abu Sahla RA bayan karte hain, Usman RA ne muhasre ke din mujhe farmaya keh Rasool Allah SAW ne mujh se ek ahd liya tha aur us par main qa'im hun." Tirmidhi, aur unhon ne farmaya: "Yeh hadees hasan sahih hai." Sahih, riwayat al-Tirmidhi.
وَعَنْ\أَبِي سَهْلَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي عُثْمَانُ يَوْمَ الدَّارِ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ عَهْدًا وَأَنَا صَابِرٌ عَلَيْهِ. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ\
