Abu Musa al-Ash‘ari reported God’s Messenger as saying:When you pray make your rows straight and let one of your number act as yourimam. If you say thetakbirwhen he says it and sayAmenwhen he says “Not of those with whom Thou art angry nor of those who go astray”, God will accept your prayer. When he says thetakbirand bows, say it and bow, for theimambows before you and raises himself before you. Then God’s Messenger said, “The one is equivalent to the other.”* And he said: If you say, “O God our Lord, to Thee be the praise,” when he says, “God listens to him who praises him,” God will listen to you. * Although theimambegins and ends his bowing before you do, your bow lasts the same length of time as his. Muslim transmitted it. In a version by him from Abu Huraira and Qatada the words occur, “And when he recites listen silently.”

ابوموسیٰ اشعری ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ جب تم نماز پڑھنے کا ارادہ کرو تو صفیں درست کرو ، پھر تم میں سے تمہیں کوئی نماز پڑھائے ، پس جب وہ اللہ اکبر کہے تو تم اللہ اکبر کہو ، اور جب وہ (غیر المغضوب علیھم ولا الضالین) کہے تو تم آمین کہو ، اللہ تمہاری دعا قبول فرمائے گا ، جب وہ اللہ اکبر کہے اور رکوع کرے تو تم اللہ اکبر کہو اور رکوع کرو ، کیونکہ امام تم سے پہلے رکوع کرتا ہے اور تم سے پہلے (رکوع سے) اٹھتا ہے ۔‘‘ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ یہ (پہلے سر اٹھانا) اس کے (پہلے رکوع جانے) کا بدلہ ہے ، اور جب وہ کہے : ((سمع اللہ لمن حمدہ))’’ اللہ نے سن لیا جس نے اس کی تعریف کی ‘‘، تو تم کہو : اے اللہ ! ہر قسم کی حمد تیرے ہی لیے ہے ، اللہ تمہاری دعا سنتا اور قبول فرماتا ہے ۔‘‘ رواہ مسلم ۔
Abu Musa Ashari RA bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah SAW ne farmaya: ''Jab tum namaz parhne ka irada karo to safein durust karo, phir tum mein se tumhein koi namaz parhaye, pas jab wo Allah Akbar kahe to tum Allah Akbar kaho, aur jab wo (Ghair-il-Maghdubi Alaihim Wa La-id-Dallin) kahe to tum Aameen kaho, Allah tumhari dua kubool farmaye ga, jab wo Allah Akbar kahe aur ruku kare to tum Allah Akbar kaho aur ruku karo, kyunki Imam tum se pehle ruku karta hai aur tum se pehle (ruku se) uthta hai.'' Rasool Allah SAW ne farmaya: ''Yeh (pehle sar uthana) uske (pehle ruku jane) ka badla hai, aur jab wo kahe: ((Sami Allahu Liman Hamidah)) ''Allah ne sun liya jisne uski tareef ki'', to tum kaho: Aye Allah! Har qisam ki hamd tere hi liye hai, Allah tumhari dua sunta aur kubool farmata hai.'' Riwayat Muslim.
وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِذَا صَلَّيْتُمْ فَأَقِيمُوا صُفُوفَكُمْ ثُمَّ لِيَؤُمَّكُمْ أَحَدُكُمْ فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ فكبروا وَإِذ قَالَ (غير المغضوب عَلَيْهِم وَلَا الضَّالّين)\فَقُولُوا آمِينَ يُجِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ وَرَكَعَ فَكَبِّرُوا وَارْكَعُوا فَإِنَّ الْإِمَامَ يَرْكَعُ قَبْلَكُمْ وَيَرْفَعُ قبلكُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «فَتِلْكَ بِتِلْكَ» قَالَ: «وَإِذَا قَالَ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فَقُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ يسمع الله لكم» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم\
