It is reported on the authority of Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that he said : We were forbidden that we should ask anything (without a genuine need) from the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). It, therefore, pleased us that an intelligent person from the dwellers of the desert should come and asked him (the Prophet ﷺ) and we should listen to it. A man from the dwellers of the desert came (to Prophet ﷺ) and said : Muhammad ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), your messenger came to us and told us your assertion that verily Allah had sent you (as prophet). He (the Prophet ﷺ) remarked : He told the truth. He (the bedouin) said : Who created the heaven? He (the Prophet ﷺ) replied : Allah (جَلَّ ذُو). He (the bedouin again) said: Who created the Earth? He (the Prophet ﷺ) replied : Allah ( َّعَز َّوَجَل). He (the bedouin again) said: Who raised these mountains and who created in them whatever is created there? He (the Prophet ﷺ) replied : Allah (جَلَّ ذُو). Upon this he (the bedouin) remarked : By Him Who created the heaven and created the earth and raised mountains thereupon, has Allah (جَلَّ ذُو) sent you? He (the Prophet ﷺ) said : Yes. He (the bedouin) said: Your messenger also told us that five prayers (have been made) obligatory for us during the day and the night. He (the Prophet ﷺ) remarked : He told you the truth. He (the bedouin) said : By Him Who sent you, is it Allah Who ordered you about this (prayers)? He (the Prophet ﷺ) said: Yes. He (the bedouin) said : Your messenger told us that Zakat had been made obligatory in our riches. He (the Prophet ﷺ) said. He has told the truth. He (the bedouin) said : By Him Who sent you (as prophet), is it Allah Who ordered you about it (Zakat)? He (the Prophet ﷺ) said: Yes. He (the bedouin) said: Your messenger told us that it had been made obligatory for us to fast every year during the month of Ramadan. He (the Prophet ﷺ) said : He has told the truth. He (the bedouin) said : By Him Who sent you (as prophet), is it Allah Who ordered you about it (fasts of Ramadan)? He (the Prophet ﷺ) said : Yes. He (the bedouin) said : Your messenger also told us that pilgrimage (Hajj) to the House (of Ka'bah) had been made obligatory for him who is able to undertake the journey to it. He (the Prophet ﷺ) said : Yes. The narrator said that he (the bedouin) set off (at the conclusion of this answer, but at the time of his departure) remarked : 'By Him Who sent you with the Truth, I would neither make any addition to them nor would I diminish anything out of them. Upon this the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) remarked : If he were true (to what he said) he must enter Paradise.
حضرت انس رضی الله عنه بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ہمیں (بلا ضرورت) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سوال کرنے سے روک دیا گیا تو ہمیں اس بات سے خوشی ہوتی تھی کہ کوئی سمجھ دار بدوی آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہو کر آپؐ سے سوال کرے اور ہم سنیں۔ تو ایک بدوی آیا اور کہنے لگا: اے محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم)! آپ کا ایلچی ہمارے پاس آیا اس نے ہمیں بتایا، آپ کا کہنا ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کو رسول بنایا ہے آپ نے فرمایا: ”اس نے سچ کہا۔“ اس نے پوچھا: تو آسمان کس نے بنایا ہے؟ آپؐ نے جواب دیا: ”اللہ نے۔“ اس نے کہا: تو زمین کو کس نے بنایاہے؟ ارشاد ہوا: ”اللہ نے۔“ اس نے سوال کیا تو یہ پہاڑ کس نے گاڑے ہیں اور ان میں جو کچھ رکھا ہے، کس نے رکھا ہے؟آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے۔“ بدوی نے کہا: اس ذات کی قسم! جس نے آسمان بنایا، زمین بنائی اور یہ پہاڑ نصب کیے۔ کیا اللہ ہی نے آپ کو رسول بنا کر بھیجا ہے؟ آپؐ نے جواب دیا: ”ہاں“ اس نے پوچھا آپ کے قاصد نے کہا ہمارے ذمے دن رات میں پانچ نمازیں ہیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اس نے درست کہا“ اس نے کہا تو اس ذات کی قسم! جس نے آپؐ کو بھیجا کیا اللہ ہی نے آپ کو یہ حکم دیا (کہ ہم پانچ نمازیں ادا کریں) آپ نے جواب دیا:”ہاں“ (یہ اللہ ہی کا حکم ہے) اس نے سوال کیا آپ کے ایلچی کا گمان ہے ہمارے ذمے ہمارے مالوں کی زکوٰۃ ہے؟ آپؐ نے کہا: ”اس نے سچ کہا“ بدوی نے کہا تو اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو رسول بنایا کیا اللہ ہی نے آپ کو یہ حکم دیا ہے۔ آپ نے جواب دیا: ”ہاں“ اعرابی نے کہا آپ کے پیغامبر کا خیال ہے ہمارے سال میں ہمارے ذمے ماہِ رمضان کے روزے ہیں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) نے فرمایا: اس نے صحیح کہا اس نے کہا تو جس نے آپ کو بھیجا ہے اس کی قسم! کیا اللہ ہی نے آپ کو یہ حکم دیا آپ نے جواب دیا ”ہاں“ بدوی نے کہا: آپ کے ایلچی نے کہا ہمارے ذمے بیت اللہ کا حج ہے اس پر جو اس تک پہنچ سکتا ہو۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) نے کہا: ”اس نے سچ کہا“ صحابی بیان کرتے پھر وہ واپس چل پڑا اور چلتے چلتے کہا اس ذات کی قسم! جس نے آپ کو حق دے کر بھیجا میں ان پر اضافہ کروں گا نہ ہی ان میں کمی کروں گا تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر یہ سچا ہے تو یقیناً جنت میں داخل ہو گا۔“
Hazrat Anas (Radhi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke humein (bila zaroorat) Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) se sawal karne se rok diya gaya to humein is baat se khushi hoti thi ke koi samajh-dar badwi Aap ki khidmat mein hazir ho kar Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) se sawal kare aur hum sunein. To ek badwi aaya aur kehne laga: Ae Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)! Aap ka eilchi hamare pas aaya is ne humein bataya, Aap ka kehna hai ke Allah Ta'ala ne Aap ko Rasool banaya hai Aap ne farmaya: "Is ne sach kaha." Is ne pucha: To aasman kis ne banaya hai? Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne jawab diya: "Allah ne." Is ne kaha: To zameen ko kis ne banaya hai? Irshad hua: "Allah ne." Is ne sawal kiya to yeh pahar kis ne gare hain aur in mein jo kuch rakha hai, kis ne rakha hai? Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Allah Ta'ala ne." Badwi ne kaha: Is zaat ki qasam! jis ne aasman banaya, zameen banayi aur yeh pahar nasab kiye. Kya Allah hi ne Aap ko Rasool bana kar bheja hai? Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne jawab diya: "Haan" is ne pucha Aap ke qasid ne kaha hamare zimme din raat mein panch namazein hain. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Is ne durust kaha" is ne kaha to is zaat ki qasam! jis ne Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ko bheja kya Allah hi ne Aap ko yeh hukum diya (ke hum panch namazein ada karein) Aap ne jawab diya: "Haan" (yeh Allah hi ka hukum hai) is ne sawal kiya Aap ke eilchi ka guman hai hamare zimme hamare malon ki zakat hai? Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne kaha: "Is ne sach kaha" badwi ne kaha to is zaat ki qasam jis ne Aap ko Rasool banaya kya Allah hi ne Aap ko yeh hukum diya hai. Aap ne jawab diya: "Haan" aarabi ne kaha Aap ke paighambar ka khayal hai hamare saal mein hamare zimme mah-e-Ramazan ke roze hain Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: Is ne sahih kaha is ne kaha to jis ne Aap ko bheja hai is ki qasam! kya Allah hi ne Aap ko yeh hukum diya Aap ne jawab diya "Haan" badwi ne kaha: Aap ke eilchi ne kaha hamare zimme Baitullah ka hajj hai is par jo is tak pohnch sakta ho. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne kaha: "Is ne sach kaha" sahabi bayan karte phir woh wapas chal para aur chalte chalte kaha is zaat ki qasam! jis ne Aap ko haq de kar bheja main in par izafa karoon ga na hi in mein kami karoon ga to Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Agar yeh sacha hai to yaqeenan jannat mein dakhil ho ga."
حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ النَّاقِدُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ أَبُو النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ نُهِينَا أَنْ نَسْأَلَ، رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ شَىْءٍ فَكَانَ يُعْجِبُنَا أَنْ يَجِيءَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ الْعَاقِلُ فَيَسْأَلَهُ وَنَحْنُ نَسْمَعُ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَتَانَا رَسُولُكَ فَزَعَمَ لَنَا أَنَّكَ تَزْعُمُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَرْسَلَكَ قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَمَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاءَ قَالَ " اللَّهُ " . قَالَ فَمَنْ خَلَقَ الأَرْضَ قَالَ " اللَّهُ " . قَالَ فَمَنْ نَصَبَ هَذِهِ الْجِبَالَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا مَا جَعَلَ . قَالَ " اللَّهُ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاءَ وَخَلَقَ الأَرْضَ وَنَصَبَ هَذِهِ الْجِبَالَ آللَّهُ أَرْسَلَكَ قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ فِي يَوْمِنَا وَلَيْلَتِنَا . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمْرَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا زَكَاةً فِي أَمْوَالِنَا . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمْرَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا صَوْمَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فِي سَنَتِنَا . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا حَجَّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلاً . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ ثُمَّ وَلَّى . قَالَ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لاَ أَزِيدُ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَلاَ أَنْقُصُ مِنْهُنَّ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَئِنْ صَدَقَ لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ " .
