باب رُؤْيَا النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏‏

Sahih Muslim 2270

Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, I saw during the night that which a person sees during the sleep as if we are in the house of Uqba bin Rafi` that there was brought to us the fresh dates of Ibn Tab. I interpreted it as the sublimity for us in the world and good ending in the Hereafter and that our religion is good.

حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں،رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ایک رات میں نے خواب میں دیکھا،گویا کہ ہم عقبہ بن رافع کے گھر میں ہیں تو ہمارے پاس ابن طاب کی تازہ کھجوروں میں سے کھجوریں لائی گئیں تو میں نے تعبیر لگائی،دنیا میں ہمارے لیے رفعت ہے اور آخرت میں اچھاانجام اور ہمارا دین پختہ اور مکمل ہوگیا ہے۔“

Hazrat Anas bin Malik (Razi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Ek raat main ne khwab mein dekha, goya ke hum Uqba bin Rafi' ke ghar mein hain to hamare paas Ibn Tab ki taza khajooron mein se khajooren lai gain to main ne ta'beer lagai, duniya mein hamare liye rif'at hai aur aakhirat mein achha anjam aur hamara deen pukhta aur mukammal ho gaya hai."

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ قَعْنَبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ رَأَيْتُ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فِيمَا يَرَى النَّائِمُ كَأَنَّا فِي دَارِ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ فَأُتِينَا بِرُطَبٍ مِنْ رُطَبِ ابْنِ طَابٍ فَأَوَّلْتُ الرِّفْعَةَ لَنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْعَاقِبَةَ فِي الآخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ دِينَنَا قَدْ طَابَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Sahih Muslim 2271

Abdullah bin Umar (رضي الله تعالی عنہ) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘I saw in a dream that I was using miswak and two persons contended to get it from me, one being older than the other one. I gave the miswak to the younger one. It was said to me to give that to the older one and I gave it to the older one.

حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، ”میں نے خواب میں اپنے آپ کو مسواک کرتے ہوئے دیکھا تو مجھے دو آدمیوں نے کھینچا، ایک دوسرے سے بڑا تھا تو میں نے مسواک ان میں سے چھوٹے کو دے دینی چاہی، سو مجھے کہا گیا، بڑے کو دو، تومیں نے اسے بڑے کے حوالہ کردی۔“

Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Razi Allahu Anhuma) bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya, "Main ne khwab mein apne Aap ko miswak karte hue dekha to mujhe do aadmiyon ne kheenchha, ek doosre se bada tha to main ne miswak un mein se chhote ko de deni chahi, so mujhe kaha gaya, bade ko do, to main ne use bade ke hawala kar di."

وَحَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا صَخْرُ بْنُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ أَرَانِي فِي الْمَنَامِ أَتَسَوَّكُ بِسِوَاكٍ فَجَذَبَنِي رَجُلاَنِ أَحَدُهُمَا أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الآخَرِ فَنَاوَلْتُ السِّوَاكَ الأَصْغَرَ مِنْهُمَا فَقِيلَ لِي كَبِّرْ ‏.‏ فَدَفَعْتُهُ إِلَى الأَكْبَرِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Sahih Muslim 2272

Abu Musa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘I dreamt (while asleep) that I was about to migrate from Makka to a land abounding in palm trees and I guessed that it would be Yamama or Hajar, but it was the city of Yathrib (the old name of Medina), and I saw in this dream of mine that I was brandishing a sword and its upper end was broken and this is what fell (in the form of misfortune to the believers on the Day of Uhud). I brandished (the sword) for the second time and it became all right, and this is what came to be true when Allah granted us victory and solidarity of the believers. And I saw therein cows also and Allah is the Doer of good. These meant the group from amongst the believers on the Day of Uhud and the goodness which Allah brought after that and the reward of attestation of his Truth which Allah brought to us after the Day of Badr.

حضرت ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”میں نےخواب میں دیکھا کہ میں مکہ سے ایسی سرزمین کی طرف ہجرت کررہا ہوں، جہاں کھجوریں وافر ہیں تو میرا خیال اس طرف گیا کہ یہ یمامہ یا ہجر کاعلاقہ ہے اور وہ یثرب کا شہر نکلا اور میں نے اس خواب میں دیکھا کہ میں نے تلوار ہلائی تو اس کا اگلا حصہ ٹوٹ گیا تو اس سے مراد وہ مصیبت نکلی، جس سےمسلمان احد کے دن دوچار ہوئے، پھر میں نے اس کو دوبارہ ہلایا تو وہ انتہائی عمدہ حالت کی طرف لوٹ آئی تو اس سے مراد اللہ کی عطا کردہ فتح اورمسلمانوں کا اجتماع نکلا، اور اس میں، میں نے ایک گائے دیکھی اور اللہ کا فیصلہ ہی بہترہے تو اس سے مراد مومنوں کا گروہ ہے، جو احد کے دن شہید ہوا اور خیر سے مراد وہ خیر ہے،جو بعد میں حاصل ہوئی یا اللہ نے عطاکی اور لڑائی میں جم جانے کا وہ بدلا، جو اللہ نے ہمیں بدر کے بعد عطاء فرمایا۔“

Hazrat Abu Musa (Razi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Main ne khwab mein dekha ke main Makkah se aisi zameen ki taraf hijrat kar raha hoon, jahan khajooren waafar hain to mera khayal is taraf gaya ke yeh Yamamah ya Hajar ka ilaqah hai aur woh Yathrib ka shahr nikla aur main ne is khwab mein dekha ke main ne talwar hilai to uska agla hissa toot gaya to is se murad woh museebat nikli, jis se Musalman Uhad ke din dochar hue, phir main ne usko dobara hilaya to woh intehai umda halat ki taraf laut aai to is se murad Allah ki ata kardah fatah aur Musalmanon ka ijtema nikla, aur is mein, main ne ek gaye dekhi aur Allah ka faisla hi behtar hai to is se murad mominon ka giroh hai, jo Uhad ke din shaheed hua aur khair se murad woh khair hai, jo baad mein hasil hui ya Allah ne ata ki aur ladai mein jam jane ka woh badla, jo Allah ne hamen Badr ke baad ata farmaya."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَرَّادٍ الأَشْعَرِيُّ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ - وَتَقَارَبَا فِي اللَّفْظِ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، جَدِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ رَأَيْتُ فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أُهَاجِرُ مِنْ مَكَّةَ إِلَى أَرْضٍ بِهَا نَخْلٌ فَذَهَبَ وَهَلِي إِلَى أَنَّهَا الْيَمَامَةُ أَوْ هَجَرُ فَإِذَا هِيَ الْمَدِينَةُ يَثْرِبُ وَرَأَيْتُ فِي رُؤْيَاىَ هَذِهِ أَنِّي هَزَزْتُ سَيْفًا فَانْقَطَعَ صَدْرُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ مَا أُصِيبَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ ثُمَّ هَزَزْتُهُ أُخْرَى فَعَادَ أَحْسَنَ مَا كَانَ فَإِذَا هُوَ مَا جَاءَ اللَّهُ بِهِ مِنَ الْفَتْحِ وَاجْتِمَاعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَرَأَيْتُ فِيهَا أَيْضًا بَقَرًا وَاللَّهُ خَيْرٌ فَإِذَا هُمُ النَّفَرُ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَإِذَا الْخَيْرُ مَا جَاءَ اللَّهُ بِهِ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ بَعْدُ وَثَوَابُ الصِّدْقِ الَّذِي آتَانَا اللَّهُ بَعْدُ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Sahih Muslim 2273, 2274a

Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Musailima al-Kadhdhab (the greater liar) (who claimed prophethood after the death of the Prophet ﷺ) came during the lifetime of Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to Madina and said, ‘if Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) assigns his caliphate to me after him I would follow him, and there came along with him a large body of persons of his tribe, and there came to him Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) along with Thabit bin Qais bin Shammas and the Prophet of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had a piece of wood in his hand until he came in front of Musailima in the company of his companions and said, if you were to ask even this (wood), I would never give it to you. I am not going to do anything against the will of God in your case, and if you turn away (from what I say) Allah will destroy you. And I find you in the same state which I was shown (in the dream) and here is Thabit ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) and he would answer you on my behalf. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) then went back. Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, I asked the (meaning of the) words of Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), ‘you are the same what I was made to see about you in my dream.’ Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, while I was sleeping I saw in my hands two gold bangles. This had a disturbing effect upon me, and I was given a suggestion in the sleep that I should blow over them, so I blew over them and they were no more. And I interpreted these (two bangles) as the two great liars who would appear after me and the one amongst them was Al-Anasi the inhabitant of San`a and the other one Musailima the inhabitant of Yamama.

حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے دور میں مسیلمہ کذاب مدینہ آیا اور کہنے لگا، اگر محمد خلافت اپنے بعد مجھے دے گا تو میں ان کی پیروی کروں گا، وہ مدینہ میں اپنی قوم کے بہت سے افراد کے ساتھ آیا تھا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ، ثابت بن قیس بن شماس کی معیت میں اس کی طرف گئے اور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ہاتھ میں کھجوروں کی شاخ کا ایک ٹکڑا تھا، حتیٰ کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مسیلمہ کے پاس، جہاں وہ اپنے ساتھیوں کےساتھ تھا جا رکے اور فرمایا: ”اگر تو مجھ سے شاخ کا یہ ٹکڑا مانگے تو میں تمھیں یہ بھی نہیں دوں گا اور تیرے بارے میں اللہ کا جو حکم ہے اس سے تجاوز نہیں کروں گا اور اگر تو نے(میری اطاعت سے) منہ موڑا تو اللہ تجھے غارت کردے گا اور میں تمھیں دیکھ رہا ہوں، جس کے بارے میں مجھے خواب دکھائی گئی ہے اور یہ ثابت رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ہے، جومیری طرف سے تجھے جو جواب دےگا۔“ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس سے لوٹ آئے۔

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (Razi Allahu Anhuma) bayan karte hain ke Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke daur mein Musailamah Kazzab Madina aaya aur kehne laga, agar Muhammad khilafat apne baad mujhe dega to main unki pairwi karunga, woh Madina mein apni qaum ke bahut se afraad ke sath aaya tha to Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), Sabit bin Qais bin Shammaas ki ma'iyat mein uski taraf gaye aur Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke hath mein khajooron ki shakh ka ek tukda tha, hatta ke Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Musailamah ke paas, jahan woh apne sathiyon ke sath tha ja ruke aur farmaya: "Agar tu mujh se shakh ka yeh tukda mange to main tumhen yeh bhi nahi dunga aur tere bare mein Allah ka jo hukm hai us se tajawuz nahi karunga aur agar tu ne (meri itaat se) munh moda to Allah tujhe gharat kar dega aur main tumhen dekh raha hoon, jis ke bare mein mujhe khwab dikhai gai hai aur yeh Sabit (Razi Allahu Anhu) hai, jo meri taraf se tujhe jo jawab dega." Phir Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) us se laut aaye.

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَدِمَ مُسَيْلِمَةُ الْكَذَّابُ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمَدِينَةَ فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ إِنْ جَعَلَ لِي مُحَمَّدٌ الأَمْرَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ تَبِعْتُهُ ‏.‏ فَقَدِمَهَا فِي بَشَرٍ كَثِيرٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ فَأَقْبَلَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَمَعَهُ ثَابِتُ بْنُ قَيْسِ بْنِ شَمَّاسٍ وَفِي يَدِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قِطْعَةُ جَرِيدَةٍ حَتَّى وَقَفَ عَلَى مُسَيْلِمَةَ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ قَالَ ‏"‏ لَوْ سَأَلْتَنِي هَذِهِ الْقِطْعَةَ مَا أَعْطَيْتُكَهَا وَلَنْ أَتَعَدَّى أَمْرَ اللَّهِ فِيكَ وَلَئِنْ أَدْبَرْتَ لَيَعْقِرَنَّكَ اللَّهُ وَإِنِّي لأُرَاكَ الَّذِي أُرِيتُ فِيكَ مَا أُرِيتُ وَهَذَا ثَابِتٌ يُجِيبُكَ عَنِّي ‏"‏ ‏.‏ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ عَنْهُ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ، صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ إِنَّكَ أَرَى الَّذِي أُرِيتُ فِيكَ مَا أُرِيتُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ رَأَيْتُ فِي يَدَىَّ سِوَارَيْنِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَأَهَمَّنِي شَأْنُهُمَا فَأُوحِيَ إِلَىَّ فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِ انْفُخْهُمَا فَنَفَخْتُهُمَا فَطَارَا فَأَوَّلْتُهُمَا كَذَّابَيْنِ يَخْرُجَانِ مِنْ بَعْدِي فَكَانَ أَحَدُهُمَا الْعَنْسِيَّ صَاحِبَ صَنْعَاءَ وَالآخَرُ مُسَيْلِمَةَ صَاحِبَ الْيَمَامَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Sahih Muslim 2274b

Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘while I was sleeping, the treasures of the earth were presented to me and I was made to wear in my hands two gold bangles. I felt a sort of burden upon me, and I was disturbed, and it was suggested to me that I should blow over them, so I blew and both of them disappeared. I interpreted them as two great liars who would appear at any time, one is the inhabitant of San`a and the other is that of Yamama.’

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے ہمام بن منبہ جو احادیث بیان کرتے ہیں، ان میں سے ایک یہ ہے، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جبکہ میں سویا ہوا تھا، میرے پاس زمین کے خزانے لائے گئے اور میرے دونوں ہاتھوں میں، سونے کے دو کنگن ڈالے گئے، سو وہ مجھے ناگوار گزرے اور مجھے فکر لاحق ہوئی تو مجھے وحی کی گئی ان پر پھونک مارو، میں نے ان پر پھونک ماری تو وہ ختم ہو گئے تو میں نے ان کی تعبیر یہ کی کہ یہ دو جھوٹے ہیں جن کے درمیان میں ہوں، یعنی صنعاء کا باشندہ اور یمامہ کا باشندہ۔“

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Razi Allahu Anhu) se Hammam bin Munabbih jo ahadees bayan karte hain, un mein se ek yeh hai, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Jabke main soya hua tha, mere paas zameen ke khazane laye gaye aur mere donon hathon mein, sone ke do kangan dale gaye, so woh mujhe nagawar guzre aur mujhe fikr lahiq hui to mujhe Wahi ki gai un par phoonk maro, main ne un par phoonk mari to woh khatam ho gaye to main ne unki ta'beer yeh ki ke yeh do jhoote hain jin ke darmiyan main hoon, yani Sana'a ka bashindah aur Yamamah ka bashindah."

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، قَالَ هَذَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏ فَذَكَرَ أَحَادِيثَ مِنْهَا وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ أُتِيتُ خَزَائِنَ الأَرْضِ فَوَضَعَ فِي يَدَىَّ أُسْوَارَيْنِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَكَبُرَا عَلَىَّ وَأَهَمَّانِي فَأُوحِيَ إِلَىَّ أَنِ انْفُخْهُمَا فَنَفَخْتُهُمَا فَذَهَبَا فَأَوَّلْتُهُمَا الْكَذَّابَيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ أَنَا بَيْنَهُمَا صَاحِبَ صَنْعَاءَ وَصَاحِبَ الْيَمَامَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Sahih Muslim 2275

Samura bin Jundab(رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that when Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had performed his dawn prayer he turned his face towards them (companions) and said, ‘did any one of you see any vision last night?’

حضرت سمرہ بن جندب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم صبح کی نماز پڑھ لیتے تھے تو رخ ان کی طرف کرلیتے اور پوچھتے، ”کیا تم میں سے کسی نے آج رات خواب دیکھا؟“

Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub (Razi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke jab Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Subh ki namaz padh lete the to rukh unki taraf kar lete aur poochte, "Kya tum mein se kisi ne aaj raat khwab dekha?"

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيِّ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدَبٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ هَلْ رَأَى أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمُ الْبَارِحَةَ رُؤْيَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏
