Simak bin Harb reported, I said to Jabir bin Samura (رضي الله تعالى عنه) did you have the privilege of sitting in the company of Allah's Apostle (صلى هللا عليه ِو آله وسلم)? He said, yes, very frequently, and added, he did not stand up (and go) from the place where he offered the dawn prayer until the sun rose, and after the rising of the sun he stood up, and they (his Companions) entered conversation with one another and they talked of the things (that they did during the Days of Ignorance), and they laughed (on their unreasonable and ridiculous acts). Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) smiled only.
سماک بن حرب رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کہتے ہیں، میں نے حضرت جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ سے پوچھا، کیا آپ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ بیٹھا کرتے تھے، انہوں نے کہا، ہاں، بہت دفعہ، آپ جس جگہ صبح کی نماز پڑھاتے، وہاں سے سورج نکلنے تک نہ اٹھتے، جب سورج طلوع ہو جاتا تو اٹھتے، صحابہ کرام باتیں کرتے رہتے حتی کہ جاہلیت کے دور کے کاموں کا ذکر چھیڑ لیتے اور ہنستے اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تبسم فرماتے۔
Simak bin Harb (Rahmatullah Alaihi) kehte hain, main ne Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (Razi Allahu Anhu) se poocha, kya Aap Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke sath baitha karte the, unhon ne kaha, haan, bahut dafa, Aap jis jagah Subh ki namaz padhate, wahan se suraj nikalne tak na uthte, jab suraj tulu ho jata to uthte, Sahaba Kiraam baaten karte rehte hatta ke jahiliyat ke daur ke kamon ka zikr chhed lete aur hanste aur Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) tabassum farmate.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ أَكُنْتَ تُجَالِسُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ نَعَمْ كَثِيرًا كَانَ لاَ يَقُومُ مِنْ مُصَلاَّهُ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي فِيهِ الصُّبْحَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ فَإِذَا طَلَعَتْ قَامَ وَكَانُوا يَتَحَدَّثُونَ فَيَأْخُذُونَ فِي أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَيَضْحَكُونَ وَيَتَبَسَّمُ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
