Thauban (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, Allah drew the ends of the world near one another for my sake. And I have seen its eastern and western ends. And the dominion of my Ummah would reach those ends which have been drawn near me and I have been granted the red and the white treasure and I begged my Lord for my Ummah that it should not be destroyed because of famine, nor be dominated by an enemy who is not amongst them to take their lives and destroy them root and branch, and my Lord said, Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), whenever I make a decision, there is none to change it. I grant you for your Ummah that it would not be destroyed by famine and it would not be dominated by an enemy who would not be amongst it and would take their lives and destroy them root and branch even if all the people from the different parts of the world join hands together (for this purpose), but it would be from amongst them, viz. your Ummah, that some people would kill the others or imprison the others.
حضرت ثوبان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:" اللہ تعالیٰ نے میرے لیے زمین کو سمیٹ دیا۔ چنانچہ میں نے اس کے مشرقی اور مغربی کناروں کو دیکھ لیا اور یقیناًمیری امت کا اقتدار و حکومت وہاں تک پہنچےگی، جہاں تک اس کو میرے لیےسمیٹ دیا گیا اور مجھے دو خزانے سرخ و سفید عنایت کیے گیے (یعنی قیصر و کسریٰ کے خزانے)اور میں نے اپنے رب سے اپنی امت کے لیے دعا کی کہ وہ اس قحط عام کے ذریعہ ہلاک نہ کرے اور ان پر ان کے اپنے سوادشمن کو غلبہ اور تسلط نہ دے (تمام مسلمانوں پر کافر غالب نہ آجائیں)کہ وہ ان کہ اقتدار ووجمعیت کو پامال کردے اور مجھے میرے رب نے فرمایا، اے محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! میں جب کوئی فیصلہ کر لیتا ہوں تو اس کو ٹالا نہیں جا سکتا اور میں نے تجھے تیری امت کے بارے میں یہ وعدہ دے دیا ہے کہ میں انہیں قحط عام سے ہلاک نہیں کروں گا۔ اور میں ان کے سواکوئی ایسا دشمن مسلط نہیں کروں گا، جو ان کی عزت واقتدارکو ختم کردے اگرچہ تمام روئے زمین کے لوگ ان کے خلاف اکھٹے ہو جائیں ہاں وہ خود ہی ایک دوسرے کو ہلاک کریں گے اور ایک دوسرے کو قیدی بنائیں گے۔"
Hadhrat Sawban (Razi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain, Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Allah Ta'ala ne mere liye zameen ko samet diya. Chunanche main ne us ke mashriqi aur maghribi kinaron ko dekh liya aur yaqeenan meri Ummat ka iqtidaar o hukoomat wahan tak pahunche gi, jahan tak us ko mere liye samet diya gaya aur mujhe do khazane surkh o safed inayat kiye gaye (yani Qaisar o Kisra ke khazane) aur main ne apne Rabb se apni Ummat ke liye dua ki ke woh is qahet e aam ke zariye halak na kare aur un par un ke apne siwa dushman ko ghalba aur tasallut na de (tamam Musalmanou par kafir ghalib na aa jayen) ke woh un ke iqtidaar o jam'iyat ko pamal kar de aur mujhe mere Rabb ne farmaya, Aye Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)! main jab koi faisla kar leta hoon to us ko tala nahi ja sakta aur main ne tujhe teri Ummat ke bare mein yeh wada de diya hai ke main unhen qahet e aam se halak nahi karoon ga. Aur main un ke siwa koi aisa dushman musallat nahi karoon ga, jo un ki izzat o iqtidaar ko khatm kar de agarche tamam roye zameen ke log un ke khilaf ikatthe ho jayen haan woh khud hi ek dusre ko halak karenge aur ek dusre ko qaidi banayenge."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الْعَتَكِيُّ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لِقُتَيْبَةَ - حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ اللَّهَ زَوَى لِيَ الأَرْضَ فَرَأَيْتُ مَشَارِقَهَا وَمَغَارِبَهَا وَإِنَّ أُمَّتِي سَيَبْلُغُ مُلْكُهَا مَا زُوِيَ لِي مِنْهَا وَأُعْطِيتُ الْكَنْزَيْنِ الأَحْمَرَ وَالأَبْيَضَ وَإِنِّي سَأَلْتُ رَبِّي لأُمَّتِي أَنْ لاَ يُهْلِكَهَا بِسَنَةٍ بِعَامَّةٍ وَأَنْ لاَ يُسَلِّطَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَدُوًّا مِنْ سِوَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ فَيَسْتَبِيحَ بَيْضَتَهُمْ وَإِنَّ رَبِّي قَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنِّي إِذَا قَضَيْتُ قَضَاءً فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يُرَدُّ وَإِنِّي أَعْطَيْتُكَ لأُمَّتِكَ أَنْ لاَ أُهْلِكَهُمْ بِسَنَةٍ بِعَامَّةٍ وَأَنْ لاَ أُسَلِّطَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَدُوًّا مِنْ سِوَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ يَسْتَبِيحُ بَيْضَتَهُمْ وَلَوِ اجْتَمَعَ عَلَيْهِمْ مَنْ بِأَقْطَارِهَا - أَوْ قَالَ مَنْ بَيْنَ أَقْطَارِهَا - حَتَّى يَكُونَ بَعْضُهُمْ يُهْلِكُ بَعْضًا وَيَسْبِي بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا " .
