Abu Dharr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) took an oath that this verse – [These are two opposing groups (believers and non-believers) that dispute about their Lord.] (Al-Isra -19) was revealed in connection with those who on the Day of Badr came out (of rows to fight against the non-believers and they were) Hamza, 'Ali, 'Ubaida bin Harith (رضئ هللا تعی ال عنہم) (from the side of the Muslims) and 'Utba and Shaiba, the sons of Rabi'a and Walid bin 'Utba (from the side of the non-believers of Makka).
قیس بن عباد رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کہتے ہیں، میں نے حضرت ابو زر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سےسنا،وہ پورے زور سے قسم اٹھا کر کہتے تھے کہ ":"یہ دو جھگڑنے والے ہیں جنھوں نے اپنے رب کے معاملے میں جھگڑا کیا۔"(الحج،آیت نمبر19)یہ آیت ان لوگوں کے بارے میں اتری،جنھوں نے بدر کے دن مبارزت میں حصہ لیا،حمزہ،علی،عبیدہ بن حارث،ربیعہ،کے بیٹے،عتبہ،شیبہ اور ولید بن عتبہ۔
Qais Bin Ibad (Rehmatullah Alaih) kehte hain, main ne Hazrat Abu Zar (Razi Allah Tala Anhu) se suna, woh poore zor se qasam utha kar kehte the ke ":"Yeh do jhagarne wale hain jinhon ne apne Rab ke mamle mein jhagda kiya." (Al Hajj, ayat number 19) Yeh ayat un logon ke bare mein utri, jinhon ne Badr ke din mubarezat mein hissa liya, Hamza, Ali, Ubaidah Bin Harith, Rabiah, ke bete, Utbah, Shaibah aur Waleed Bin Utbah.
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ زُرَارَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ، بْنِ عُبَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ، يُقْسِمُ قَسَمًا إِنَّ { هَذَانِ خَصْمَانِ اخْتَصَمُوا فِي رَبِّهِمْ} إِنَّهَا نَزَلَتْ فِي الَّذِينَ بَرَزُوا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ حَمْزَةُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَعُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ وَعُتْبَةُ وَشَيْبَةُ ابْنَا رَبِيعَةَ وَالْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ .
