باب النَّهْىِ عَنِ الْحَدِيثِ، بِكُلِّ مَا سَمِعَ
Sahih Muslim Introduction 12
Muhammad bin ul-Muthannā narrated to us, he said I heard Abd ar-Rahman bin Mahdī saying:‘A man cannot be an Imām whose example is followed until he withholds from some of what he hears’.
عبدالرحمٰن بن مھدی ؒ کہتے ہیں: ”انسان لائق اقتدا امام نہیں بن سکتا، حتّٰی کہ وہ بعض سُنی ہوئی باتیں بیان کرنے سے رک جائے۔“
Abdur Rahman bin Mahdi (Rahmatullahi Alaih) kehte hain: "Insan layeq-e-iqtida Imam nahi ban sakta, hatta ke woh ba'az suni hui baatein bayan karne se ruk jaye."
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ مَهْدِيٍّ، يَقُولُ لاَ يَكُونُ الرَّجُلُ إِمَامًا يُقْتَدَى بِهِ حَتَّى يُمْسِكَ عَنْ بَعْضِ مَا سَمِعَ .
