باب الْكَشْفِ عَنْ مَعَايِبِ، رُوَاةِ الْحَدِيثِ وَنَقَلَةِ الأَخْبَارِ وَقَوْلِ الأَئِمَّةِ فِي ذَلِكَ
Sahih Muslim Introduction 60
Ahmad bin Ibrāhīm ad-Dawraqī narrated to me, he said Abd ur-Rahman bin Mahdī narrated to me, on authority Hammād bin Zayd, he said, Ayyūb mentioned a man one day and said [about him]:‘He is not upright in speech [i.e. he lies]’, and he mentioned another [person] and said: ‘He adds to records [i.e. he lies]’.
حماد بن زیدؒ کہتے ہیں: ایّوبؒ نےایک دن ایک آدمی کا تذکرہ کیا، چنانچہ کہا: ”اس کی زبان درست نہیں ہے، یعنی: جھوٹا ہے۔“ ایک اور آدمی کا تذکرہ کیا، تو کہا: ”وہ تحریر میں اضافہ کرتا ہے، یعنی حدیث میں اضافہ کرتا ہے۔“
Hammad bin Zaid (Rahmatullahi Alaih) kehte hain: Ayyub (Rahmatullahi Alaih) ne ek din ek aadmi ka tazkira kiya, chunanche kaha: "Is ki zaban durust nahi hai, yaani: jhoota hai." Ek aur aadmi ka tazkira kiya, to kaha: "Woh tahreer mein izafa karta hai, yaani hadith mein izafa karta hai."
حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ ذَكَرَ أَيُّوبُ رَجُلاً يَوْمًا فَقَالَ لَمْ يَكُنْ بِمُسْتَقِيمِ اللِّسَانِ وَذَكَرَ آخَرَ فَقَالَ هُوَ يَزِيدُ فِي الرَّقْمِ .
