باب الْكَشْفِ عَنْ مَعَايِبِ، رُوَاةِ الْحَدِيثِ وَنَقَلَةِ الأَخْبَارِ وَقَوْلِ الأَئِمَّةِ فِي ذَلِكَ
Sahih Muslim Introduction 61
Hajjāj bin ash-Shā’ir narrated to me, Sulaymān bin Harb narrated to us, Hammād bin Zayd narrated to us, he said, Ayyūb said:‘Indeed I have a neighbor’ and he mentioned some of his virtues, [and continued] ‘…even if he testified to me about two dates I would not see his testimony as permissible’.
حماد بن زیدؒ کہتے ہیں: ایوبؒ نے کہا: ”میرا ایک پڑوسی ہے، پھر اس کے فضائل اورخوبیاں بیان کیں، اور اگر وہ میرے سامنے دو کھجوروں کے بارے میں گواہی دے تو میں اس کی گواہی کو معتبر قرار نہیں دوں گا۔“ (کیونکہ وہ جھوٹا ہے)۔
Hammad bin Zaid (Rahmatullahi Alaih) kehte hain: Ayyub (Rahmatullahi Alaih) ne kaha: "Mera ek parosi hai, phir is ke fazayil aur khoobiyan bayan kien, aur agar woh mere samne do khajooron ke baare mein gawahi de to main is ki gawahi ko mu'tabar qarar nahi doon ga." (Kyunke woh jhoota hai).
حَدَّثَنِي حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ أَيُّوبُ إِنَّ لِي جَارًا - ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ - وَلَوْ شَهِدَ عِنْدِي عَلَى تَمْرَتَيْنِ مَا رَأَيْتُ شَهَادَتَهُ جَائِزَةً .
