Sahih Muslim Introduction 71
Salamah bin Shabīb narrated to me, al-Humaydī narrated to us, Sufyān narrated to us, he said I heard Abū Mūsā [Isrā’īl bin Mūsā al-Basrī] saying:‘Amr bin Ubayd narrated to us before what happened’ [i.e. before he became Mu’tazilī].
ابو موسیٰ ؒ کہتے ہیں: ”بدعتی (معتزلی، قدری) ہونے سے پہلے عمرو بن عبید نے ہمیں احادیث سنائیں۔“
Abu Musa (Rahmatullahi Alaih) kehte hain: "Bid'ati (Mu'tazili, Qadri) hone se pehle Amr bin Ubaid ne humein ahadith sunayein."
وَحَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مُوسَى، يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْدِثَ، .
