باب الْكَشْفِ عَنْ مَعَايِبِ، رُوَاةِ الْحَدِيثِ وَنَقَلَةِ الأَخْبَارِ وَقَوْلِ الأَئِمَّةِ فِي ذَلِكَ
Sahih Muslim Introduction 79
Suwayd bin Sa’īd narrated to us, Alī bin Mus’hir narrated to us, he said:‘Hamzah az-Zayyāt and I heard from Abān bin Abī Ayyāsh something like one thousand Ḥadīth’. Alī said: ‘So I met Hamzah then he informed me that he saw the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah upon him, [in a dream], and he produced for him what he heard from Abān. However he [the Prophet] didn’t recognize any except a small amount [like] five or six [Ḥadīth]’.
علی بن مسہرؒ کہتے ہیں: میں نے اور حمزہ زیاتؒ نے ابان بن ابی عیاش سے تقریباً ایک ہزار روایات سنیں۔ علی بن مسہرؒ کہتے ہیں: بعد میں، میں حمزہؒ سے ملا، تو اس نے مجھے بتایا: ”کہ میں نے خواب میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی زیارت کی، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر ابان سے سنی ہوئی احادیث پیش کیں، تو آپ نے ان میں سے چند ایک، پانچ یا چھے کے سوا کسی حدیث کو نہ پہچانا۔“
Ali bin Mushir (Rahmatullahi Alaih) kehte hain: Main ne aur Hamza Zayyat (Rahmatullahi Alaih) ne Aban bin Abi Ayash se taqreeban ek hazar riwayat sunien. Ali bin Mushir (Rahmatullahi Alaih) kehte hain: Baad mein, main Hamza (Rahmatullahi Alaih) se mila, to is ne mujhe bataya: "Ke main ne khwab mein Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ki ziyarat ki, to Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) par Aban se suni hui ahadith pesh kien, to Aap ne un mein se chand ek, panch ya chhe ke siwa kisi hadith ko na pehchana."
وَحَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَا وَحَمْزَةُ الزَّيَّاتُ، مِنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ نَحْوًا مِنْ أَلْفِ حَدِيثٍ . قَالَ عَلِيٌّ فَلَقِيتُ حَمْزَةَ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي الْمَنَامِ فَعَرَضَ عَلَيْهِ مَا سَمِعَ مِنْ أَبَانَ فَمَا عَرَفَ مِنْهَا إِلاَّ شَيْئًا يَسِيرًا خَمْسَةً أَوْ سِتَّةً .
