باب الْكَشْفِ عَنْ مَعَايِبِ، رُوَاةِ الْحَدِيثِ وَنَقَلَةِ الأَخْبَارِ وَقَوْلِ الأَئِمَّةِ فِي ذَلِكَ
Sahih Muslim Introduction 86
Al-Faḍl bin Sahl narrated to me, he said:‘Yahyā bin Ma’īn narrated to me, Hajjāj narrated to us, Ibn Abī Dhi’b narrated to us on authority of Shurahbīl bin Sa’d , and he was imputed [with lying regarding Ḥadīth near the end of his life]’.
حجاجؒ کہتے ہیں: ”ہمیں ابنِ ابی ذئبؒ نے شرحبیل بن سعد سے روایات سنائیں، لیکن وہ حدیث میں متہم تھا، یعنی اس پر کذب بیانی کا الزام ہے۔“
Hajjaj (Rahmatullahi Alaih) kehte hain: "Humein Ibn Abi Zi'b (Rahmatullahi Alaih) ne Shurahbeel bin Sa'd se riwayat sunayein, lekin woh hadith mein muttaham tha, yaani is par kizb-biyani ka ilzam hai."
وَحَدَّثَنِي الْفَضْلُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، وَكَانَ، مُتَّهَمًا .
