Chapter: The choice between fasting and not fasting when travelling
١٧
باب التَّخْيِيرِ فِي الصَّوْمِ وَالْفِطْرِ فِي السَّفَرِ
Sahih Muslim 1121d
This Hadith has been narrated on the authority of Hisham with the same chain of transmitters that Hamza said, ‘I am a person much used to fasting. Should I fast during the journey? (The rest of the Hadith is the same.)
امام صاحب اپنے دواور اساتذہ سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ حمزہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے پوچھا: میں روزہ رکھنے والا آدمی ہوں کیا میں سفر میں بھی روزہ رکھ سکتا ہوں؟
Imam Sahab apney do aur asatiza se bayan karte hain ke Hamza (Raziallahu Anhu) ne poocha: Main roza rakhne wala aadmi hun kya main safar mein bhi roza rakh sakta hun?
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ هِشَامٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ، قَالَ إِنِّي رَجُلٌ أَصُومُ أَفَأَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ.
