Chapter: It is permissible to base one's intention for Ihram on the intention of another

باب فِي نَسْخِ التَّحَلُّلِ مِنَ الإِحْرَامِ وَالأَمْرِ بِالتَّمَامِ
Sahih Muslim 1221d
Abu Musa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had sent me to Yemen and I came back in the year in which the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) performed the (Farewell) Pilgrimage. Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said to me, Abu Musa (رضئ هللا تعال یعنہ), what did you say when you entered into the state of Ihram? I said, ready to obey your orders and command, my (Ihram) is that of the Ihram of Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). He said, have you brought the sacrificial animals? I said, no. Thereupon he said, go and circumambulate the House, and (run) between al-Safa' and al-Marwa and then put off Ihram. The rest of the Hadith is the same.
حضرت ابو موسیٰ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے یمن بھیجا تھا، اور میری واپسی آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس اس سال ہوئی، جس میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حج فرمایا تھا، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے پوچھا: ”اے ابو موسیٰ! جب تم نے احرام باندھا تھا تو کیا کہا تھا؟“ میں نے عرض کیا، میں نے کہا تھا، (لَبَّيْكَ اِهْلاَلاً كَاِهْلاَلِ النَّبِيِّ صلي الله عليه وسلم) میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے احرام جیسا احرام باندھ کر حاضر ہوں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کیا کوئی ہدی ساتھ لائے ہو؟“ میں نے کہا، نہیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جاؤ، بیت اللہ کا طواف کرو اور صفا اور مروہ کے درمیان سعی کرو، پھر حلال ہو جاؤ۔“ آگے شعبہ اور سفیان کی طرح روایت ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Musa (Radiallahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ki Rasool Allah (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne mujhe Yemen bheja tha, aur meri wapsi Aap (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke paas us saal hui, jis mein Aap (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Hajj farmaya tha, Rasool Allah (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne mujh se poocha: "Ae Abu Musa! Jab tum ne ehram baandha tha to kya kaha tha?" Mein ne arz kiya, mein ne kaha tha, (LABBAIKA IHLAALAN KA IHLAALIN NABIYYI SALALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM) mein Nabi Akram (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke ehram jaisa ehram baandh kar hazir hoon, Aap (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Kya koi Hadyi saath laye ho?" Mein ne kaha, nahi. Aap (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Jao, Baitullah ka tawaf karo aur Safa aur Marwah ke darmiyan Sa'i karo, phir halal ho jao." Aage Shu'ba aur Sufyan ki tarah riwayat hai.
وَحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عُمَيْسٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعَثَنِي إِلَى الْيَمَنِ قَالَ فَوَافَقْتُهُ فِي الْعَامِ الَّذِي حَجَّ فِيهِ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يَا أَبَا مُوسَى كَيْفَ قُلْتَ حِينَ أَحْرَمْتَ " . قَالَ قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ إِهْلاَلاً كَإِهْلاَلِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم . فَقَالَ " هَلْ سُقْتَ هَدْيًا " . فَقُلْتُ لاَ . قَالَ " فَانْطَلِقْ فَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ . ثُمَّ أَحِلَّ " . ثُمَّ سَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ وَسُفْيَانَ .
