Sahih Muslim 1333i
Abu Qaza'ah reported that while Abd al-Malik bin Marwan was circumambulating the Ka'ba he said, may Allah ruin Ibn Zubair (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that he lies in attributing to the Mother of the Faithful, as he says, I heard her stating that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had said, 'A'isha, if your people had not been new converts to Islam, I would have demolished the House and would have added (in it area) from the Hijr for your people have reduced the area from its foundations. Harith bin Abdullah bin Abu Rabi'a (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, Commander of the Faithful, don't say that, for I heard the Mother of the Faithful saying this, whereupon he said, if I had heard this before demolishing it, I would have left it in the state in which Ibn Zabair ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) had built it.
ابو قزعہ بیان کرتے ہیں، عبدالملک بن مروان بیت اللہ کے طواف کے دوران کہنے لگا، اللہ ابن زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو تباہ کرے، کیونکہ وہ ام المؤمنین (عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا) کی طرف جھوٹی بات منسوب کرتا ہے، یا ان کے بارے میں جھوٹ کہتا ہے کہ وہ کہتی تھیں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اے عائشہ! اگر تیری قوم نے نیا نیا کفر نہ چھوڑا ہوتا، تو میں بیت اللہ کو توڑ کر اس میں حجر کا حصہ داخل کر دیتا، کیونکہ تیری قوم نے اس کی تعمیر (عمارت) میں کمی کر دی تھی۔“ تو حارث بن عبداللہ بن ابی ربیعہ نے کہا، اے امیر المؤمنین! یہ بات نہ کہیے، میں نے خود ام المؤمنین کو یہ فرماتے سنا ہے، عبدالملک نے کہا، اگر میں یہ بات اس کے گرانے سے پہلے سن لیتا تو میں اسے ابن زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی تعمیر پر رہنے دیتا۔
Abu Qaza bayan karte hain, Abdul Malik bin Marwan Baitullah ke tawaf ke dauran kehne laga, Allah Ibn Zubair (Radiallahu Anhu) ko tabah kare, kyuki wo Ummul Momineen (Aisha Radiallahu Anha) ki taraf jhooti baat mansoob karta hai, ya un ke bare mein jhoot kehta hai ki wo kehti thin Rasool Allah (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Ae Aisha! Agar teri qaum ne naya naya kufr na chhoda hota, to mein Baitullah ko tod kar is mein Hajr ka hissa dakhil kar deta, kyuki teri qaum ne us ki ta'meer (imarat) mein kami kar di thi." To Harith bin Abdullah bin Abi Rabi'a ne kaha, Ae Ameerul Momineen! Ye baat na kahiye, mein ne khud Ummul Momineen ko ye farmate suna hai, Abdul Malik ne kaha, agar mein ye baat us ke girane se pehle sun leta to mein use Ibn Zubair (Radiallahu Anhu) ki ta'meer par rehne deta.
وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ السَّهْمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ أَبِي، صَغِيرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي قَزَعَةَ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الْمَلِكِ بْنَ مَرْوَانَ، بَيْنَمَا هُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ إِذْ قَالَ قَاتَلَ اللَّهُ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ حَيْثُ يَكْذِبُ عَلَى أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُهَا تَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يَا عَائِشَةُ لَوْلاَ حِدْثَانُ قَوْمِكِ بِالْكُفْرِ لَنَقَضْتُ الْبَيْتَ حَتَّى أَزِيدَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْحِجْرِ فَإِنَّ قَوْمَكِ قَصَّرُوا فِي الْبِنَاءِ " . فَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ لاَ تَقُلْ هَذَا يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَأَنَا سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ تُحَدِّثُ هَذَا . قَالَ لَوْ كُنْتُ سَمِعْتُهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَهْدِمَهُ لَتَرَكْتُهُ عَلَى مَا بَنَى ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ .
