Chapter: The wall and the door of the Ka'bah

باب جَدْرِ الْكَعْبَةِ وَبَابِهَا

Ummul Momineen A'isha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) reported that she asked Allah's Apostle ( صلى هللا عليه وآله وسلم) about Hijr, and the rest of the Hadith is the same. I also said, why is it that the door has been made on a higher level, and one cannot (get into it) but with the help of a ladder? The rest of the Hadith is the same as reported above and the concluding words are, (I do not change it) out of the apprehension that their hearts may disapprove of it.’
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں، میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے حجر کے بارے میں سوال کیا، آ گے مذکورہ بالا روایت ہے، اور اس میں یہ ہے، میں نے عرض کیا، کیا بات ہے کہ اس کا دروازہ بلند ہے، اور سیڑھی کے بغیر اس تک چڑھا نہیں جا سکتا؟ اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اس ڈر سے کہ ان کے دلوں میں نفرت پیدا ہو گی۔“
Hazrat Aisha (Radiallahu Anha) bayan karti hain, mein ne Rasool Allah (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se Hajr ke bare mein sawal kiya, aage mazkoora bala riwayat hai, aur is mein ye hai, mein ne arz kiya, kya baat hai ki us ka darwaza buland hai, aur seedhi ke baghair us tak chadha nahi ja sakta? Aur Aap (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Is dar se ki un ke dilon mein nafrat paida ho gi."
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُوسَى - حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْحِجْرِ . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ وَقَالَ فِيهِ فَقُلْتُ فَمَا شَأْنُ بَابِهِ مُرْتَفِعًا لاَ يُصْعَدُ إِلَيْهِ إِلاَّ بِسُلَّمٍ وَقَالَ " مَخَافَةَ أَنْ تَنْفِرَ قُلُوبُهُمْ " .
