Chapter: Marriage is recommended for the one who desires it and can afford it, and the one who cannot afford it should distract himself by fasting

باب اسْتِحْبَابِ النِّكَاحِ لِمَنْ تَاقَتْ نَفْسُهُ إِلَيْهِ وَوَجَدَ مُؤْنَةً وَاشْتِغَالِ مَنْ عَجَزَ عَنِ الْمُؤَنِ بِالصَّوْمِ
Sahih Muslim 1400d
Abu al-Rahman b. Yazid said:I and my uncle 'Alqama and al-Aswad went to 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud (Allah be pleased with him). He (the narrator further) said: I was at that time young, and he narrated a hadith which it seemed he narrated for me that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said like one transmitted by Mu'awiya, and further added: I lost no time in marrying.
عبدالرحمٰن بن یزید بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں اور میرا چچا علقمہ اور (بھائی) اسود حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود ؓ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے، اور میں ان دنوں نوجوان تھا، تو میرے خیال میں انہوں نے میری ہی خاطر ایک حدیث بیان کی، کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "آگے مذکورہ بالا روایت بیان کی اور آگے یہ اضافہ ہے، تھوڑے ہی عرصہ کے بعد میں نے شادی کر لی۔
Abdur Rahman bin Yazeed (Rehmatullah Alaih) bayan karte hain ki main aur mera chacha Alqamah aur (bhai) Aswad Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (Radi Allahu Anhu) ki khidmat mein haazir hue, aur main un dino naujawan tha, to mere khayal mein unho ne meri hi khaatir ek hadees bayan ki, ki Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Aage mazkoora bala riwayat bayan ki aur aage yeh izafa hai, thode hi arse ke baad maine shaadi kar li.”
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَعَمِّي، عَلْقَمَةُ وَالأَسْوَدُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ وَأَنَا شَابٌّ، يَوْمَئِذٍ فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا رُئِيتُ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَ بِهِ، مِنْ أَجْلِي قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ وَزَادَ قَالَ فَلَمْ أَلْبَثْ حَتَّى تَزَوَّجْتُ .
