Chapter: The prohibition of eating the meat of domesticated donkeys

باب تَحْرِيمِ أَكْلِ لَحْمِ الْحُمُرِ الإِنْسِيَّةِ
Sahih Muslim 1407f
Ali bin Abi Talib (رضي الله ِتعالی عنہ) reported that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) forbade on the Day of Khaibar temporary marriage (Muta') with women and the eating of the flesh of domestic asses.
حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے خیبر کے دن عورتوں سے متعہ کرنے سے منع فرمایا اور گھریلو گدھوں کے گوشت سے بھی۔
Jabir b. Abdullah reported: We did not eat the flesh of our sacrificial animals beyond three days in Mina. Then Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) permitted us saying: Eat and make it a provision (for journey). I asked 'Ata' whether Jabir had also said: Till we came to Medina. He said: Yes.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ، اللَّهِ وَالْحَسَنِ ابْنَىْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِمَا، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنْ مُتْعَةِ النِّسَاءِ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ وَعَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الإِنْسِيَّةِ .
