Sahih Muslim 1477d
Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) gave us the option, and we chose him, and he did not count it a divorce.
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں اختیار دیا، ہم نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اختیار کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کو طلاق شمار نہیں کیا۔
Hazrat Aisha (Razi Allahu Anha) bayan karti hain ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne hamen ikhtiyar diya, hum ne aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ko ikhtiyar kiya to aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne us ko talaq shumar nahi kiya.
وَحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ، وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ خَيَّرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَاخْتَرْنَاهُ فَلَمْ يَعُدَّهُ طَلاَقًا .
