Sahih Muslim 150a
Sa'd (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated it on the authority of his father (Abi Waqqasؓ ) that he observed : The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) distributed shares (of booty among his Companions). I said : Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! Give it to so and so, for verily he is a believer. Upon this the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) remarked : Or a Muslim. I (the narrator) repeated it (the word" believer" ) thrice and he (the Prophet ﷺ) turned his back upon me (and substituted the word)" Muslim," and then observed : I bestow it (this share) to a man out of apprehension lest Allah (جَلَّ ذُو) should throw him prostrate into the fire (of Hell) whereas in fact the other man is dearer to me than he.
عامر بن سعدؒ اپنے باپ سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے کچھ مال تقسیم کیا تو میں نے عرض کیا: اے اللہ کے رسولؐ! فلاں کو بھی دیجیے وہ مومن ہے، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”یا مسلمان ہے“ میں نے تین دفعہ گزارش کی اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بھی تینوں دفعہ یہی جواب دیا: ”یا مسلمان۔“ پھر آپؐ نے فرمایا: ”میں ایک آدمی کو دیتا ہوں حالانکہ اس کے مقابلے میں دوسرا آدمی مجھے زیادہ پسند ہوتا ہے، کہ کہیں اللہ اس کو اوندھے منھ جہنم میں نہ ڈال دے۔“
Aamir bin Sa'ad apne baap se bayan karte hain ke Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne kuch maal taqseem kiya to main ne arz kiya: ae Allah ke Rasul (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)! falan ko bhi dijiye woh momin hai, to Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Ya musalman hai." Main ne teen dafa guzarish ki aur Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne bhi teeno dafa yehi jawab diya: "Ya musalman." Phir Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Main ek aadmi ko deta hoon halankay is ke muqable mein dusra aadmi mujhe zyada pasand hota hai, ke kahin Allah is ko aundhe munh jahannum mein na daal de."
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَسْمًا فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَعْطِ فُلاَنًا فَإِنَّهُ مُؤْمِنٌ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَوْ مُسْلِمٌ " أَقُولُهَا ثَلاَثًا . وَيُرَدِّدُهَا عَلَىَّ ثَلاَثًا " أَوْ مُسْلِمٌ " ثُمَّ قَالَ " إِنِّي لأُعْطِي الرَّجُلَ وَغَيْرُهُ أَحَبُّ إِلَىَّ مِنْهُ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَكُبَّهُ اللَّهُ فِي النَّارِ " .
