Sahih Muslim 1658a
Mu'awiya b. Suwaid reported:I slapped a slave belonging to us and then fled away. I came back just before noon and offered prayer behind my father. He called him (the slave) and me and said: Do as he has done to you. He granted pardon. He (my father) then said: We belonged to the family of Muqarrin during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him. and had only one slave-girl and one of us slapped her. This news reached Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) and he said: Set her free. They (the members of the family) said: There is no other servant except she. Thereupon he said: Then employ her and when you can afford to dispense with her services, then set her free.
حضرت معاویہ بن سوید رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، میں نے اپنے ایک مولیٰ کو تھپڑ مارا تو میں بھاگ گیا، پھر ظہر سے پہلے واپس آ گیا اور اپنے والد کی اقتدا میں نماز پڑھی، تو میرے والد نے، غلام کو اور مجھے طلب کیا، پھر غلام کو کہا، اس سے بدلہ لو، تو اس نے معاف کر دیا، پھر میرے والد نے بتایا، ہم مقرن کی اولاد رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے عہد مبارک میں صرف ایک خادمہ کے مالک تھے، تو ہم میں سے کسی ایک نے اسے تھپڑ مارا، اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تک بات پہنچ گئی، تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اسے آزاد کر دو۔“" بنو مقرن نے کہا، ان کے پاس اس کے سوا کوئی خادمہ نہیں ہے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تو اس سے خدمت لو، جب اس سے بے نیاز ہو جائیں تو اس کو آزاد کر دیں۔“
Hazrat Muawiyah Bin Suwaid (Razi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) bayan karte hain, maine apne ek mawla ko thappad mara to main bhaag gaya, phir Zohr se pehle wapas aa gaya aur apne walid ki iqtida mein namaz padhi, to mere walid ne, ghulam ko aur mujhe talab kiya, phir ghulam ko kaha, is se badla lo, to us ne maaf kar diya, phir mere walid ne bataya, hum Muqarrin ki aulad Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ke ahd e mubarak mein sirf ek khadima ke malik the, to hum mein se kisi ek ne usay thappad mara, aur Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) tak baat pohanch gai, to Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: “Usay azad kar do.” Banu Muqarrin ne kaha, un ke paas us ke siwa koi khadima nahi hai, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: “To us se khidmat lo, jab us se be niyaz ho jayen to us ko azad kar dein.”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، قَالَ لَطَمْتُ مَوْلًى لَنَا فَهَرَبْتُ ثُمَّ جِئْتُ قُبَيْلَ الظُّهْرِ فَصَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ أَبِي فَدَعَاهُ وَدَعَانِي ثُمَّ قَالَ امْتَثِلْ مِنْهُ . فَعَفَا ثُمَّ قَالَ كُنَّا بَنِي مُقَرِّنٍ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَيْسَ لَنَا إِلاَّ خَادِمٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَلَطَمَهَا أَحَدُنَا فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " أَعْتِقُوهَا " . قَالُوا لَيْسَ لَهُمْ خَادِمٌ غَيْرُهَا قَالَ " فَلْيَسْتَخْدِمُوهَا فَإِذَا اسْتَغْنَوْا عَنْهَا فَلْيُخَلُّوا سَبِيلَهَا " .
