Sahih Muslim 1777
Salama (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated, ‘we fought by the side of the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) at Hunain. When we encountered the enemy, I advanced and ascended a hillock. A man from the enemy side turned towards me and I shot him with an arrow. He (ducked and) hid himself from me. I could not understand what he did, but suddenly I saw that a group of people appeared from the other hillock. They and the companions of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) met in combat, but the companions of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) turned back and I too turned back defeated. I had two mantles, one of which I was wrapping round the waist (covering the lower part of my body) and the other I was putting around my shoulders. My waist-wrapper got loose, and I held the two mantles together. (In this downcast condition) I passed by the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) who was riding on his white mule. He said, ‘the son of Akwa' finds himself to be utterly perplexed. Where the Companions gathered round him from all sides. the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) got down from his mule. picked up a handful of dust from the ground, threw it into their (enemy) faces and said, ‘may these faces be deformed. There was no one among the enemy whose eyes were not filled with the dust from this handful. So, they turned back fleeing and Allah the Exalted and Glorious defeated them, and the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) distributed their booty among the Muslims.
حضرت سلمہ بن اکوع رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ہم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی معیت میں جنگ حنین لڑی تو جب ہم دشمن کے مقابلہ میں آئے، میں آگے بڑھ کر ایک گھاٹی پرچڑھ گیا، دشمن کا ایک آدمی میرے سامنے آیا تو میں نے اس پر تیر پھینکا اور وہ مجھ سے چھپ گیا، مجھے پتہ نہیں چلا، اس نے کیا کیا، میں نے دشمن لوگوں پر نظر دوڑائی تو وہ دوسری گھاٹی سے چڑھ چکے تھے تو ان کا نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھیوں سے ٹکراؤ ہوا اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھی پشت دکھا گئے اور میں شکست خوردہ لوٹا، میرے اوپر دو چادریں تھیں، ایک تہبند تھی اور دوسری میں اوڑھے ہوئے تھا، میری تہبند (عجلت میں) کھل گئی تو میں نے دونوں کو اکٹھا کر لیا اور میں شکست خوردہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس سے گزرا اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے مٹیالے سفید رنگ کے خچر پر سوار تھے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ابن اکوع گھبراہٹ سے دوچار ہوا ہے۔“ جب دشمن نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو گھیر لیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے خچر سے اتر آئے، پھر زمین کی مٹی سے ایک مٹھی بھری، پھر اسے دشمن کے چہروں کی طرف پھینکا اور فرمایا: ”چہرے بگڑ گئے (شکست سے رنگ اڑ گئے)“ تو ان میں سے کوئی اللہ کا پیدا کردہ انسان نہیں تھا، جس کی دونوں آنکھیں مٹی سے نہ بھر گئی ہوں، اس ایک مٹھی سے تو وہ شکست کھا کر پیٹھ پھیر گئے اور اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان کو شکست دی اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کی غنیمتیں مسلمانوں میں تقسیم کر دیں۔
Hazrat Salma bin Akwa (Razi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke humne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki maiyat mein jang Hunain ladi to jab hum dushman ke muqabala mein aaye, main aage badh kar ek ghati par chad gaya, dushman ka ek aadmi mere samne aaya to maine us par teer phenka aur woh mujh se chhup gaya, mujhe pata nahi chala, usne kya kiya, maine dushman logon par nazar daudai to woh doosri ghati se chadh chuke the to unka Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke saathiyon se takra'o hua aur Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke saathi pusht dikha gaye aur main shikast khurda lauta, mere oopar do chadarain thien, ek tehband thi aur doosri main odhe hue tha, meri tehband (ajlat mein) khul gayi to maine donon ko ikattha kar liya aur main shikast khurda Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke paas se guzra aur Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) apne mitiyale safed rang ke khachar par sawar the to Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Ibn Akwa ghabrahat se dochar hua hai." Jab dushman ne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko gher liya to Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) apne khachar se utar aaye, phir zameen ki mitti se ek mutthi bhari, phir use dushman ke chehron ki taraf phenka aur farmaya: "Chehre bigad gaye (shikast se rang ud gaye)" to un mein se koi Allah ka paida karda insan nahi tha, jiski donon aankhein mitti se na bhar gayi hoon, us ek mutthi se to woh shikast kha kar peeth pher gaye aur Allah Ta'ala ne unko shikast di aur Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne unki ghanimatain Musalmanon mein taqseem kar din.
وَحَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ الْحَنَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنِي إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ، غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حُنَيْنًا فَلَمَّا وَاجَهْنَا الْعَدُوَّ تَقَدَّمْتُ فَأَعْلُو ثَنِيَّةً فَاسْتَقْبَلَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْعَدُوِّ فَأَرْمِيهِ بِسَهْمٍ فَتَوَارَى عَنِّي فَمَا دَرَيْتُ مَا صَنَعَ وَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى الْقَوْمِ فَإِذَا هُمْ قَدْ طَلَعُوا مِنْ ثَنِيَّةٍ أُخْرَى فَالْتَقَوْا هُمْ وَصَحَابَةُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَوَلَّى صَحَابَةُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَرْجِعُ مُنْهَزِمًا وَعَلَىَّ بُرْدَتَانِ مُتَّزِرًا بِإِحْدَاهُمَا مُرْتَدِيًا بِالأُخْرَى فَاسْتَطْلَقَ إِزَارِي فَجَمَعْتُهُمَا جَمِيعًا وَمَرَرْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُنْهَزِمًا وَهُوَ عَلَى بَغْلَتِهِ الشَّهْبَاءِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَقَدْ رَأَى ابْنُ الأَكْوَعِ فَزَعًا " . فَلَمَّا غَشُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَزَلَ عَنِ الْبَغْلَةِ ثُمَّ قَبَضَ قَبْضَةً مِنْ تُرَابٍ مِنَ الأَرْضِ ثُمَّ اسْتَقْبَلَ بِهِ وُجُوهَهُمْ فَقَالَ " شَاهَتِ الْوُجُوهُ " . فَمَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ إِنْسَانًا إِلاَّ مَلأَ عَيْنَيْهِ تُرَابًا بِتِلْكَ الْقَبْضَةِ فَوَلَّوْا مُدْبِرِينَ فَهَزَمَهُمُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَقَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم غَنَائِمَهُمْ بَيْنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ .
