Sahih Muslim 1797a
Aswad bin Qais (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he heard Jundub (رضي الله تعالى عنه) saying that Jibreel () delayed his visit to the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). The polytheists began to say that Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) has been forsaken. At this Allah, the Glorious and Exalted, revealed - وَالضُّحَى- وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَى- َ بُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىمَا وَدَّعَكَ ر [ (I swear) by the morning brightness, and by the night when it covers (with darkness). (O' Noble Prophet ﷺ) Your Lord did not leave you, nor is He displeased (as some enemies are claiming).] Ad-Dhuhaa – 1-3)
حضرت جندب رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ جبریل علیہ السلام نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آنے میں تاخیر کر دی تو مشرکین کہنے لگے، محمد کو چھوڑ دیا گیا ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ آیات نازل فرمائیں: ”شاہد ہے روز روشن اور رات جب چھا جائے، تمہارے رب نے تمہیں نہ چھوڑا ہے اور نہ وہ ناراض ہوا ہے۔“
Hazrat Jundab (Razi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke Jibreel (Alaihi As-Salam) ne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke paas aane mein takheer kar di to mushrikeen kehne lage, Muhammad ko chhod diya gaya hai to Allah Ta'ala ne yeh ayaat nazil farmaein: "Shahid hai roz e roshan aur raat jab chha jaye, tumhare Rab ne tumhe na chhoda hai aur na woh naraaz hua hai."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جُنْدُبًا، يَقُولُ أَبْطَأَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ قَدْ وُدِّعَ مُحَمَّدٌ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { وَالضُّحَى * وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَى * مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى}
