It has been narrated on the authority of Yazid bin Abu Ubaid, the freed slave of Salama bin al-Akwa (رضئ للا تعالی عنہ) who said, I asked Salama (رضئ للا تعالی عنہ) as to what effect he had sworn allegiance to the Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) on the Day of Hudaibiya. He said, to the effect that we will die fighting.
حضرت سلمہ بن اکوع رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ کے آزاد کردہ غلام یزید بن ابی عبید بیان کرتے ہیں، میں نے حضرت سلمہ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ سے پوچھا، آپ نے حدیبیہ کے دن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کس چیز پر بیعت کی تھی، انہوں نے کہا، موت پر۔
Hazrat Salmah bin Akwa (Razi Allahu Anhu) ke azaad karda ghulam Yazid bin Abi Ubaid bayan karte hain, maine Hazrat Salmah (Razi Allahu Anhu) se poocha, Aap ne Hudaibiyah ke din Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se kis cheez par baiyat ki thi, unhon ne kaha, maut par.
وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ - عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي، عُبَيْدٍ مَوْلَى سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الأَكْوَعِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِسَلَمَةَ عَلَى أَىِّ شَىْءٍ بَايَعْتُمْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ قَالَ عَلَى الْمَوْتِ .
