Sahih Muslim 1863a
It has been reported on the authority of Mujashi' bin Mas'ud As-Sulami (رضئ للا تعالی عنہ) who said, I came to the Prophet (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) to offer him my pledge of migration. He said, the period of migration has expired. You may now give your pledge to serve the cause of Islam, to strive in the way of Allah and to follow the path of virtue.
حضرت مجاشع بن مسعود سلمی رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ہجرت کے لیے بیعت کرنے کی خاطر حاضر ہوا، تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ہجرت، اصحاب ہجرت کو مل چکی ہے، لیکن اب اسلام، جہاد اور نیکی کے کام کے لیے بیعت ہو سکتی ہے۔“
Hazrat Mujaashi bin Mas'ood Sulami (Razi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain, main Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se hijrat ke liye baiyat karne ki khatir haazir hua, to Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Hijrat, Ashab e Hijrat ko mil chuki hai, lekin ab Islam, Jihad aur neki ke kaam ke liye baiyat ho sakti hai."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّاءَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، حَدَّثَنِي مُجَاشِعُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ السُّلَمِيُّ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أُبَايِعُهُ عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ فَقَالَ " إِنَّ الْهِجْرَةَ قَدْ مَضَتْ لأَهْلِهَا وَلَكِنْ عَلَى الإِسْلاَمِ وَالْجِهَادِ وَالْخَيْرِ " .
